How come you don’t run with the top link hooked up on that mower ?

why not mow it up and down instead of leaving ruts to washout?
I’ve noticed over the years that sideways helps keep it from not washing on the hills that I’ve cut that is steep. Water run’s down hill and when going from bottom to top sure does rut out I’ve already tested both ways and my way works the best when it comes to washing out .
@@randalpryor9444 ahh, keeps water from running down the ruts and washing out, but really how does it rut on tight ground? When we bushhogged our steep pasture ground with a case maxxum 125 and a 20ft Bushhog, the tractor with a bucket full of dirt for ballast and duals didn’t rut a single place that we mowed up and down, got so steep at one point the tractor couldn’t climb it

I always back up the hill and drive straight or slightly diagonal down. It is way safer. The danger of rolling is just not worth it - and I have had many many close calls on my John Deere. Living in the mountains means every field is sloped.
This might be safest for you and I understand where you’re coming from but let’s just say that you have a tractor that the brakes, clutch and steering run’s off hydraulic instead of leavers running straight from the petals to the pads and the engine dies ? Where do you think that you’ll wind up? Now if you’re running sideways and the engine died what would happen? I know what would happen I’ve been there both ways and let me tell you that you would rather be sideways than up and down. I hope you get what I’m saying cause I’m just answering your question that you have asked me, thanks and be careful

Air conditioned with window tinting… easy going there. Dad put out on a 25 acre field with a Massey super 90 with no cab. First time I was 13 and he follow me down the road in the pickup. I’d get to the field and he holler out see you at lunch time. Him and my mom would bring me a lunch and cold drink. Eat lunch on the tailgate. Back to bush hogging until supper. Best part of the night… putting it in road gear and letting the wind cool you down as head to the house. Taking a shower was great too after all the dust and bugs you shook up. I can still feel the heat off the tractor and hear the stack when i close my eyes and think about it.

@@randalpryor9444 no worries on my side we own a shop in Texas do a lot of ag tire repair an tractor repair work keep doing what ya doing my friend always like watching the front wheels come off the ground when that old Deere pulls back up them hills an how you can do it you can tell you been doing it for years because somebody with no experience be at bottom after that wrong clutch move or hit a clutch petal for a brake 😂 thanks again for videos you post
