Super très bien jouer
incredible. Afro-Brazliian rhythm ROCKS
wtf you’re Brazilian clearly with a Portuguese accent but you mix the songs!!! This is Lamento Do Morro. NOT Lamento no Morro. How can you a native speaker not pick that up?
Update. You got me wanting to listen to Rabellos version. All is gold now :) But I will then listen to Jobims original classical album with Vinicius introducing the tune.
All good Mark
It'd be nice to actually hear the bass once you start in the Senegalese style.
Damn! Beat one IS important! Tryin to teach an ol dog too really count!...thanks Edd!
Actually in a lot of other styles I'm playing now I'm avoiding the one. Try it. Then you can kind of bounce off the one
As an Algerian I totally approve this !!
Amazing thumbnail picture!
The only thing I can say is they play bass in a very high register/frequency? It's attractive to me for less than 1 minute. Nobody shoot me.😅😅😅😅.
High register is for the dancing part when there are no vocals. When the singer is on we lay it down more. This video was a few years ago. Nowadays my main goal with basslines is figuring out how to play something that's even more effective with less notes
So smooth 🍀
Well thankyou
Drummer executed instructions perfectly....bass guy, how do you talk and play at the same time 😊
I'll answer that if you can first answer this...... How do you walk down the street and talk at the same time simultaneously?
Thanks so much. Been looking for microtonal stuff cause ive been getting into more music traditions outside of European styles.
Yeah. There comes a time when you realise you just need to step beyond the limits of Western music and expand. Is that on guitar?
@@WorldMusicMethod yes. Im a guitar player of 4 years and it's the love of my life at this point.
Nice. With that passion you can achieve anything. We're happy to help along your journey if you need anything. Fernando is the man for information in this field
Kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Simply powerful breakdown! Awesome explanation! Incredible talent! Thanks.
Cheers Striker
❤❤❤❤
P.E. reference...word! Thanks for this...
P.E?
@@WorldMusicMethod You referenced Public Enemy as a metaphor when talking about rhythm. 9:35 🌞
Don't believe the hype
Song name?
Ekoloko
For reàl this channel is wonderful
Thanks
Love this channel. I like the bass player's observation of anticipating the guitarist moving to a higher register, which would change how the rhythm section approaches the beat.
Well spotted. What do you play?
@@WorldMusicMethod Everything except woodwind instruments :)
I can't wait to take your course!!!

You are talented bro👍👍bring longer music that you play

Caught their gig in Westbourne Sussex, last week, what a band. Check them out.
I saw Leo at the Ealing festival, fantastic. thank you.
Bikutsi has always appear to me as a difficult music to play. This a wonderful and good explanation. Thanks a lot !!!
The drum guy is just ready to execute instructions immediately 👍👍👍
Cheers mate, massive fan❤
Please could you teach me why the Negro Bantou used to play "One Day Suffer Go Finish?"
And abducted the children from their mothers and carried them to Egypt looking for cash
The live tab is incorrect? The 2nd note on the B string doesn't seem to be there in what Derek is playing. If that note is included the TAB doesn't subscribe to a 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 rhythm grouping because it has one too many notes.
Dude is a metronome. Great video
Love it!!❤
But what key are uuuuuuuuuu before i get crazy lol
Hello! Subscribed! There's a song called "Kopolo" by Gbiné Orchestre that I can't understand the meter. Could you help us maybe? Greetings from Argentina!
This was perfect great explanation about the different accents and terminology. Great job. Buen tutorial, gracias por explicar todos los términos, como decir todos los acentos y como se juegan también
Thank you. Glad you found it useful
My blood is boiling just hearing this🔥🔥🔥
In a good way?
@@WorldMusicMethod certainly in a good way😂
Learned this from my father also. A long long long time ago😁.
A maestro at work! 🙌🏾
I am a congolese keyboard player and id really like to play bass, do you have lessons or a courses to buy?
Yes definitely. This video is part of a course which teaches Congolese, Zimbabwean, Senegalese, Nigerian and South African bass styles. There is a strong focus on technique.
