You have to wonder if we get a large quarter CPI reading at the end of July if this will throw a spanner in the works of the Australian market and any chance of a rate cut. Real world inflation is still out of control here.

USA rates might be coming down , but there is no indication of rates coming down in Australia ,,,,so why should falling rates in the USA be good for Australian stocks ? CBA at $132 makes no sense at all. If I had them I would sell .

They will cut rates if the economy is tanking otherwise there is not reason to undo the work of bringing the rate to a good level

Also, Peter you don’t like Niux and fair enough I don’t think I could get super keen either though I think there might be new management? But recent actions BOE main management upset most shareholders and serious uranium analysts alike, and it was trading expensively prior. Plus past methodology for announcing upgraded resources using ways that they can (halving cut- off grade for quoted ‘resources’ from studies quoted some years before by a different company prior to Boss ownership , to ‘dress it up’ though this is something which can be done, major miners want to be careful to be risk averse and quote in more actual mineable resources terms ) If going to quote biomed and resources companies, and these are good companies, perhaps seek to get experts in these fields to come onto your show And don’t charge them anything to do so. You can benefit from informed opinion for all, with correct descriptions and opinion wrt stocks like this. Though yes , you do like Resmed , there still is much more which could be added with a health analyst speaking, as there would be with a resources expert. Although these are huge fields. Speaking re individual health stock likely easier than even one individual resources stock as sort of good to know a lot pf basics re unique variations in natural resources deposits, location/ jurisdiction, infrastructure, management which is critically important and their experience and reputation and trustworthiness for investors, but also the individual resources type . Ok literally it’s not the marijuana it’s the fucking bullshit junk food you eat after it lowers the body’s defenses to tolerate anything. I smoke marijuan everyday but I eat only 1 ingredient foods my lungs are great I actually can breathe better and deeper than I ever have before. Marijuana might hurt your lungs but it’s the food you eat that makes it possible. Now I am gonna quit smoking cause I wanna be a follower of Messiah and it’s holding me back from the spirit of Yahweh working in me and through me. I already gave up drinking I was a horrible alcoholic and quit smoking and vaping tobacco and nicotine.

CBA is likely to be a major beneficiary of AI in the next few years--so the fund manager's arguments should be taken with a grain of salt or two. Income is one thing --growth AND income is another more important thing. I recall the 1990s holding CBA then and no one predicted at that time that CBA would be a major beneficiary of the digital revolution that was under way then. Oh and by the way what has the Switzer Income Fund Manager done with his large holding of SPK? It has fallen well nigh 35% in the last few months but has a yield of 6.7%.

Lithium will still be required in the foreseeable future, but will it be in demand? I don't feel it will reach high demand again until mid-next year if at all, as the supply is plentiful. But what would I know, I betted on Nividia and Bisalloy, and look where that got me.

what about the oversupply of lithium... you don't think there is any substance to that view? I reckon lithium miners are just going to produce more and more lithium just to stay in business..

China appears to have stabilised, but growth figures are still quite dubious, let's see what the next fiscal quarter offers.
