In this vlog we explore two of my favourite places from this trip Petra and Wadi Rum! Petra is an amazing site to explore and you could spend days out there.
The treasury was very busy when we were there and there was a lot of guys trying to sell trinkets and things as well as photos on camels etc, they were probably the most persistent here compared to anywhere else we had been in Egypt and Jordan. Once away from the chaos of the treasury though it was an amazing place, I hiked to the Monastery which is around 900 steps from the base weaving up and around quite uneven stone and rocks. As you will see in this video it's not an easy hike but it is sooooo worth it for what's at the other end! I think all up it was about a 6km round trip from the treasury and I was exhausted by the end of it but it was so worth it.
We then headed off to Wadi Rum to camp in the desert for the night which was also an amazing experience, I say camping but it was more like 'glamping' as you will see in the video. I wish we stayed in Wadi Rum an extra night or two as there is so much to explore out there and the place was just magical.
