So many cool ideas! I was thinking about puzzles pieces and separate from the cardboard backing!? I so appreciate your videos!
I am currently collecting bits to make a serendipity collage book. Love your videos and all your great tips.
it's 2024 now, but I just want to say thankyou for the video, it was fascinating. If my fingers are nimble enough I will definitely have a go at making this very interesting box.
Really like your process! Watching you makes me happy!
I love this so much! I am not experienced at any art and have felt so very frustrated and down on myself and spending way too much money on stuff that doesn’t have any meaning, love the idea of random easy fun! Just experiment!
So creative!
Yet another awesome video! Love your art!
Thanks so much!! Thanks for watching!
More good and valuable and.... actually usable information! You are the bomb!💣💣💣. 💃💃💃
Your Glue Book videos are absolutely the BEST! Useable information that generalizes to other forms of art.... as well as Glue Books. I have learned so much from you. Thank you!
So glad to hear that!
Absolutely love your approach!
Love your philosophy!
I love your books. I’m going to make one so thank you!
Really enjoyed how you changed Mona.
Thanks so much!
Can you use these ss papers for signstures for junk journals? Can you also use water color paper?
Yes these papers can be used for anything. I used some like these in my painted paper book, a Gluebook using painted papers and colorful ephemera - czcams.com/video/VQTUDw4l70w/video.html .
You could use watercolor paper but it is thicker and harder to use as collage/gluebook fodder.
Wow! So happy that I came across your video. Have not made a glue book and was preparing to make one. I feel less anxious about what and how to do this. I do have a question about the one with the torn pages, the purple and gold cover book. Did you put the papers in and then tear them?
No I gathered torn papers and made signatures from the papers, then sewed them into the cover. So glad I could make the process easier for you! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful textures! Thanks for sharing!
Love your inchies! You have inspired me to play with them again.
Hi. Love your style. Just wondering what size this book is? Thanks.
it is about 8 by 10 inches, Thanks for watching
Inspiring!
Well that was fun! Also informative and inspiring. Thanks very much.
So inspiring ❤ Ty
😍😍😍
Yes! Yes! Yes! Love your videos!
Thanks so much!!
I’ve done something like this with coffee dyeing but I didn’t think of water colors! Love the plastic wrap one! Thanks!
Great video! So going to try this ! Thanks for sharing! Looks like so much fun.
I like your videos very much!
I loved my spirograph when I was young. Now I am a crafter. The spiro circles would make nice flowers. Most birthday cards I have to make are male cards which I find a bit more challenging. I think glue books are fun.
Super fun and Karlaesque.
LOL!!!
I had a similar set of Spirograph wheels! They were such fun, a bit mesmerizing to watch the pattern develop and eventually return to the starting point.
I LOVE IT ❤❤❤❤ As a kid in the 70s, I used to decorate letters to my pen pals with my best Spirograph doodles. I still have a Spirograph set, and now I use the doodles in my collages too! Thanks for airing this fantastic classic today ❤
So enjoyable to sit here in Australia & watch you make collage fodder over there in America - thank you! 💐
Another suggestion if the magazine pages are so thin they tear when using the square punch, use old book pages, pattern paper scraps under the magazine page. You will also have some filler squares for your design.
Thanks for reminding us of this fun craft. 🙂 I find punches can be very fickle about the thickness of paper they will accept and if you use the ‘wrong type’ they jam which gets a bit frustrating.
Boy that spirograph is sweet. Video shared. Today's quote: "Dont wait for people to be kind, show them how. Unknown. Huge hugs. Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Thanks I forgot about my Spirograph😊
Moi, j.aime bcp et j.en ai plusieurs en cours c une vraie thérapie pour lâcher prise...bisous
Translation - I love it a lot and I have several in progress, it's a real therapy to let go...kisses.
Very sweet, thanks so much!!
I prefer twinchies.
yes I have a couple of those and forgot to mention them. They are a great size to work with if you are just getting started. Thanks for reminding me!
Your photos of "odd things" on Flickr are how I first found you many many years ago :) Thanks for many years of inspiration! (I miss the old Flickr)
wow! I haven't been on flickr in many years, since the old Flickr. They changed it and it just stopped being fun for me. but it did turn me to paper and mixed media so I guess that's a plus. Thanks for sticking with me through the years! getting out the photos kinda made me want to take a few photos again, I guess we will see!
Thank you for this wonderful video, so much inspiration for me on my journey to first glue book .
So glad I could inspire you!
Thanks for reminding me to get back to inchie making. I love doing them.
I find this process the most satisfying and interesting. I enjoy working on these as I like the slowness of creating. More time to reflect and relax.
If I have the time, building them is very satisfying, but for beginners can be a little overwhelming so I wanted to put out a few options.
I think under Wallet size, it says Contact page. I'm on my phone, and can't look at my laptop right now. But it is 35 to a page. Thanks Karla for sharing this information about the inchies. Take care and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
So much fun and a blessing to catch one of your videos! I need something easy and this fits the bill!
😃👍
Great hints. Shared the video. Huge hugs. Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Love making inches. I like the more complicated ones. Lol
I like the faces the best! The hardest part seems to be lining them up!
It can be tricky but if you don't try and be perfect it all works out in the end.
Really interesting art. Love it. ❤
Really pretty.video shared.Huge hugs. Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Hi, Karla I already have a collection of inchies cut for a glue book I have not yet started. This video has already given me ideas on how to make that book a bit more interesting.Thank you. I especially liked your family photo and monochromatic pieces even while generally liking the black frame look better. Go figure. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Nancy
