Jon this is one of the warmest loveliest of all the Camino videos I've watched - thank you. Setting out on my Camino Frances in September and can hardly wait...
I broke down to cry at 8:42 of this video. I just got back from Santiago do Compostela like 3 weeks ago, but as a tourist with a tour guide. I was only in the city. I enjoyed observing the pilgrims arriving at the plaza when they were done with their journey. My tour guide had also done the camino in the past. I can truly see the significance of this journey. My respect to all who have journied.
Jon F, sólo dejas un minúsculo final en tu vídeo a Galicia; y Compostela casi ni mirarla. Una pena, pues Galicia es fundamental en el Camino. Un saludo.
Break in your boots, try lots of socks before going. Vaseline on the feet a few times a day, and change socks during the walk. Everyone is different. Buen Camino!
There is a lot of info on that if you search. Walking shoes not boots. Two pairs of socks, inner and outer. Dry feet well, change socks half way. Vaseline for some and so on. A huge topic worth a lot of research
I did it in two stages due to time constraints. First time zero training. Not recommended. Took 3 days on the Camino to finally learn how to adjust my pack for proper fit. Second time months of walking approx 5 miles per day. Much easier walking on the Camino!

thank you Jon, beautiful video.
I like that "Right out of the gate, the Camino wants to know what you're made of".
Great video. You have a great eye for significant stills and video clips. I'll watch this again and again.
TOP💪

Yes. Have shoes that are worn in. I noticed that many people wore trainers.

Hi Jon, great video! My wife and I are training for el Camino next year. How long did you train before going on the Camino?
I did it in two stages due to time constraints. First time zero training. Not recommended. Took 3 days on the Camino to finally learn how to adjust my pack for proper fit. Second time months of walking approx 5 miles per day. Much easier walking on the Camino!
Hi Dan. Something that really is important is to have shoes that are worn in already
