CASA of Los Angeles (CASA/LA) organizes the community to take action and advocate for children and families in LA County’s overburdened child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Through an intentional, restorative and culturally relevant lens, we train committed, consistent and caring adults who provide equitable access to resources and life-affirming connections.

In observance of Juneteenth, CASA of Los Angeles' CEO Dr. Charity Chandler-Cole led a panel discussion with CASA/LA board member Christian Green, CASA/LA PEI Training Coordinator Sherrie Bradford, & Filmmaker / Co-Founder of Real to Reel Global Youth Film Festival Johna Rivers highlighting the intersectionality of Black & LGBTQIA+ identities, the stories of Black individuals who have overcome challenges in the foster care system, and the significant accomplishments these individuals have gone on to achieve.
