How to spray candy paint.
What is candy paint? This video is about how to do a tri stage paint job on a Kawasaki Vulcan 900. It is done with tropical glitz candy but works the same with house of kolor kandy. Also shown in video is how to add big flakes for max shine.

@@dixiegaragecustoms Hey, so recently I rebuilt a 2010 Vulcan that had been sitting for ten years. I was pretty sure i got all of the rust out of the tank. It was running fine for about 3 months. Now I can barely get it up to 40mph and it bogs down bad when I give it throttle, so I'm pretty sure this is the problem. My question is, since this a is a brand new pump, will just taking it out and cleaning it and the filter fix the problem?

Thanks for the video and great tutorial on common issues. I just bought an 07 Vulcan 900, awesome bike so far.. But stalls at idle, have to keep giving it throttle or it'll turn over. Also it does bog down a bit when I give it throttle, its like it gets choked up. I tested the battery and it seems fine. Could just be old gas in the tank. If it keeps doing it in a couple weeks I'll watch this again to see if I can clean out the tank and clean the fuel pump

video was great! Thank you! I'm going to do it to my 2012 Fatboy lo. When you put the nut back on does it actually tighten down tight or you only put it on to the end of the threads? Probably make more sense when I do it.
@@RickFossett thank you! yeah just remember these are opposite of how normal shocks work, they pull apart not press so the further away that nut is the better. Dont forget loctite!

Mine has a sleeve around the threaded shaft that seems to fill in a gap between the frame (hole) and the threaded shaft. It sticks out into the rubber grommet. It won’t let me attach a photo. You didn’t mention any inner sleeve. It looks like if I take it out, the shaft will be able to move inside the hole. If I leave it in, the washer won’t go all the way up against the frame, accomplishing nothing. What did you do about the sleeve? 2013 Softail slim

3 modifications required. Spacer in front of inner bushing. Shorten bushing barrel. Thin outer bushing. I did mine yesterday, You have to pull the shocks off of the bike. There is a step in the shock shaft that holds the inner busing in place. Your method allows the bushing to fall out most of the way. I have a 2007 Deluxe. My bushings are captured properly. Without capturing the bushing, the shock shaft will wear against the hole in the frame.
@@RickDelmonico absolutely incorrect. It is done exactly as I said it is. I have done it to 2 other softails since and this bike is still set up like this to this day. Any additional work you did you chose to do!

I've used Iron Cross Audio a couple times , I'm happy with it because I'm able to keep my stock radio, but I did put a Rockford amp in holy cow what a difference it makes
@@rexburch4146 yeah that’s why I included their link, I know some folks don’t like aftermarket stuff and prefer to stay original. What amp did you put? How many speakers?
@@dixiegaragecustoms I started with the Rockford fosgate (punch PBR400$xd) and now have a 800 watt 4 channel IPX6 fosgate speakers 2 in the front & 2 in the tour pack it defiantly covers the wind & road noise
@@rexburch4146 I bet that was loud!! I like these hog tunes speakers I have but I do think i may change em out eventually, they sound good too me but I have read reviews about how they are trash so may just have to shop around.

@@gabrielschultz89 worked great! Still is running great, only problem was the threads for the air cleaner were stubborn I changed the bolts because the factory ones weren’t good
