Too bad lvs don't carry over because I would NEVER attempt it at any lv that is NOT LV 99 at the START of the game even with the FINAL dungeon weapons/armors equipped even the NORMAL enemies at the start could still kill you in 1 hit. I also don't normally use Hawkeye since even at lv 99 on EASY mode Rieze Angelia and Duran is all you really need to kill the late game bosses in mere seconds especially with Lucient/Holy Beam ++ ONLY costing 1 MP PER USE AFTER you of course KILL the Black Rabbite boss first. While I do prefer Duran I'll NEVER use him even on Easy mode for a HEALING skill setup on No New Future mode healing skills are useless the INFINITE ITEM use effect however is NOT.

Too bad EXP levels don't actually carry over and I won't really attempt No NEW Future mode UNLESS you COULD Carry over ALL 99 lvs and yes on No New Future EVERYTHING is at lv 99 and since lvs don't carry over not only can you DIE in 1 hit but you really won't be able to DAMAGE anything since not even the FINAL dungeon weapons carry over EITHER.

Interesting, I never cared much about effective magic against certain kinds of enemies, I did not even know that some where vulnerable to certain kinds of magic (except for the obvious ones, like Fire --> Ice for example). Also, I never heard about a SoM romhack that replaces colors, but it the palette didn't seem that good and it also effected the ring menu. Nevertheless, it's interesting to know that, thanks for letting me now. :) On another note, there is a Secret of Mana editor in the works for quite some time now, most of the main stuff can be edited by now (except for Sprites/Animations, Bosses and AI, AFAIK). I think it's a combination of 3AM playing + trying to commentate while playing ^^; I've noticed for myself my playing is sloppier when I'm trying to do both at once.

Yeah, I noticed the spikes in difficulty from X2 to X3. I don't think anything prepared me for the difficulty spikes in X5 and X6 though. X-x

what I said before was a reference to the newest Super Sentai series Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, KyoryuPink's JyudenRyu is the pink Triceratops Dricera, it's theme is a Drill, thus the Dri in it's name, as well as a reference to Dry Cell batteries since Kyoryuger's underlying themes is Batteries because the heroes use Beast Batteries to transform.

Probably so, since it was said that this buster charges faster than the MM4 version and has a larger hitbox.

It might've been an intentional design decision actually, since I know you don't retain your charge when you take damage. So, that might be how they thought to 'balance' the power of the buster.

For some reason all of the Master Weapons were set to do less damage. The only one that does equal damage to Mega Buster is Water Wave on Darkman 1. Also I found out that all four are actually weak to Beat, as he does the same amount of damage as the Mega Buster!

I've found all the bosses in Protoman's crib is allergic to Mega Buster. Never had a need to use any other weapon. I wonder if that's an intentional design decision or not. I always felt it was weird.

I actually beat Guts Man first

Considering that a lot of people took on Cut Man as their first boss(me included) It wasn't hard to learn how to take him down with the buster only. Plus the blocks do have a pretty large damage area so it's not too hard to hit him.
