    Thank you pastor Louis... still looking forward to your next teaching. If Christ's 1st commandment to us sums-up the first 1-4 of the Decalogue and His second commandment sums-up 6-10 from the Decalogue, and the only sticking-point is the 5th commandment of the Decalogue, then I believe that Matthew 12:8 "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.” qualifies as fulfilling the 4th commandment. It seems to me that NCT won the day for that doctrinal debate... wish I could hear how the debate went.

    A Millennium Puzzle to solve… Will Christ be conducting funeral services for mortals killed in accidents 500 years after His Second Coming? The “first resurrection” in Rev. chapter 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the Book of Revelation, because the two witnesses are resurrected from the dead in chapter 11. There are two different types of resurrection in John chapter 5. There is a spiritual resurrection from the dead in John 5:24, and a bodily resurrection from the dead in John 5:28-29. My view of the Millennium agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thess. 1:7-10, when Paul said Christ returns in "flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel. The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20. My view agrees with what Peter said in 2 Peter 3:10-13, when Peter said this earth is going to burn and "dissolve" when He comes as a thief on the day of the Lord. The fire comes at the end of Rev. chapter 20. My view agrees with what Paul said in 2 Tim. 4:1, when Paul said both the living and the dead will be judged at His appearing. The time of the judgment of the dead, with reward for some and destruction for others is found in Rev. 11:18, right after the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible. (This verse also proves the Book of Rev. is not in chronological order.) The judgment of the dead is also found at the end of Rev. chapter 20. My view agrees with what Jesus said in Matt. 25:31-46, where He described the judgment of the sheep and goats, which leaves no mortals alive on the planet at the end of the passage. There are also no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Rev. chapter 19. My view agrees with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness. My view agrees with what John recorded in Rev. 9:1-2, when an angel comes down from heaven with a key to unlock the pit, which means the pit was locked before that time. Are there wicked angels already in the pit in Rev. 9:11? John recorded angels already "bound" in Rev. 9:14. The beast "ascends" out of the pit in Rev. chapter 11, which means the beast was in the pit before that time. Take all of the above and compare it to the symbolic language found in Rev. chapter 20, and the fact the Book of Revelation is not in chronological order, and you will have the truth.

    New Covenant Whole Gospel: Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. Watch the CZcams videos “The New Covenant” by David Wilkerson, or Bob George, and David H.J. Gay. ================== The term "new covenant" is not found in the 1689 LBCF, even though it is found in the Bible. It has been replaced by "the moral law", which is not in the Bible. How could Adam have committed adultery before the fall? How could Adam honor his mother, since he had no mother? Is the Apostle Paul one of the new kids on the block when he said we are ministers of the New Covenant and contrasted the two covenants in 2 Cor. 3:6-8? How about when Paul spoke of "the two covenants" in Gal. 4:24-31, and instructed the Galatian believers to "cast out" the Sinai Covenant of "bondage"? Was Jesus one of the new kids on the block when He spoke of the New Covenant in His blood in Matt. 26:28? Was the author of the Book of Hebrews a new kid on the block when he quoted Jer. 31:31-34 word for word in Heb. 8:6-13, and started the passage with the word "now"?

    Christ did not fulfill the covenant of works. Let us speak the way the Bible speaks. Christ fulfilled the Law (one unit) and all righteousness. Let us not hold to categories never mentioned in the Bible (covenant works/grace). Let us use the clear language given us in the Bible.

      If Christ fulfilled the law in the sense of it it being complete and done away with on the day He died, then what does Paul mean in these passages in Romans, suggesting the law is continuing to be fulfilled in and through our lives based on Christ's work? So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law. For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God. Romans 2 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. Romans 3:31 But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code. What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, Romans 7:6‭-‬7‭, ‬22 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. Romans 8:3‭-‬4‭, ‬7‭, ‬13 It looks to me like we were freed from the letter of the law, but the intent is that the spirit of the law still be fulfilled in our lives. So isn't the law still being fulfilled each and every day, but just the spirit of it and not the letter?

    • @maxstrange7606
      @maxstrange7606 Před rokem

      @@collin501 How does Jesus and the Apostles define what the spirit of the law is? They describe the Law as "Obsolete", "Fading," "slavery," (Gal 2:4), not in step with the Gospel (Gal.2:14), nullifes grace (Gal. 2:21), placing people under a curse (Gal. 3:10), held captive (Gal. 3:23), imprisoned and under a guardian (Gal.3:25), enslaved (Gal.4:3), Mt. Sinai bearing children for slavery (Gal.4:24), cast it out (Gal.4:30-31), yoke of slavery (Gal. 5:1), etc. Christians are released/set free/ from the requirements of the Law for justification & sanctification. Those requirements were "Do or Die." We are not under the Old Dispensation, the Old Covenant. We are New Covenant believers. The Law's purpose was to show that all men are sinners. We can definitely, as Christians, uphold that reality. The Law is not for believers but for unbelievers. Timothy 1:1:9 says, "Understanding this, that law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient." Paul argues that people who desire to teach the law wander into vain discussions and are without understanding in Timothy. "Nonetheless Paul's argument says, "If" If a man could...etc. Paul tells us that no man can in Romans 3:21 "For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight" No man could keep the Law circumcised or not. The Law as One Unit (Civil, Ceremonial, Legal) as Jesus and the Apostles called it (Not the Tripartite framework from Calvin taught...though I love Calvin) kept people "captive." Being justified by the righteousness of God has always been the plan of God by the Spirit, not by works of the Law. The Law is good but was weakened by man's sin. The Law is like a mirror. Yet, you are not supposed to use the mirror to clean your face. It was meant to show sin. Now, as Christians, Jesus is the enfleshment of the Law of God. We look to Christ as our Perfect Law of Liberty. He is the Law incarnate. We look to Christ for our standard of righteousness and that is worked out in the imperatives of the N.T. So, we are not without law. The spirit of the law is worked out in a N.T. application, tied to the redemption in the Gospel (Imperatives tied to the indicatives). We are not ONLY justified apart from the works of the law, by the Spirit, and we are sanctified by the Spirit, not by works of the Law (Gal.3:3 "Beginning with the SPIRIT, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?")

      @@maxstrange7606 That is a good description of the letter of the law, and I agree with that description. But I believe the spirit of the law is different. That was the point I was trying to make. That the spirit of the law belongs to the new covenant and in the new covenant the law is written on our hearts. It is not only fulfilled by Christ apart from us, but also fulfilled in the lives of believers in Christ by His work. The letter of the law is a multitude of commandments, which sinners need to show them their sin. But the spirit of the law is to love God and to love one another, which is fulfilled in the lives of believers.

    We respond to the imperatives found in the New Testament out of gratitude for the Gospel. Our obedience stems from love, against which there is no law. We are enabled to live and love this way by the power of the Spirit. This is the Law of Christ.

      What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. @2:30 Paul is NOT saying all are Israelites. Gal.3 [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. There are NO spiritual Gentiles. 2Cor.5 [17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Gal.6 [15] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Gentiles are in Christ and Jews are in Christ- Rom.11 [17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; But Israel although broken off from the branch will be graffed back in. [19] Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. [23] And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. [24] For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? Like the man says, dispensationalist believe Israel was set aside (like the a branch to be graffed back in) @4:40 Romans 9 is Paul addressing his fellow Jews. That is in the flesh Jews who have to obey the commandments and believe that Jesus is the Christ and he is speaking spiritually. It seems these are Jews who had not heard of the gospel of grace which saves apart from the law. In Romans 10 Paul still speaking to Jews - [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. ARE THE CHURCH AND ISRAEL DISTINCT? Read Acts 15 the Jews have to obey the law and believe on the name of Christ and Paul's converts (Gentiles) do not have to obey the Law. Yet the Jews are not excused from it. If that is not a distinction there is no meaning in words. There is a time line however and when Israel completely was broken off as a branch there became one body who are all saved by the gospel that Paul preached. 1 Cor. 15, Romans 5 and 6 covers what we are to believe for salvation.

      Tim, the Apostle Peter takes the promise of Abraham and sees its fulfilment as the Church in Galatians 3. The Church is spiritual and all who believe are sons of Abraham, the father of us all. All Christians are considered spiritual (Gal.6:1), in the Spirit (Rom. 8:9), and indwelled by the Spirit of God. They are not in the flesh or in the realm of being worldly (1 Cor. 3:3). They have been transferred to a new realm (Col.1:3). All who believe in the Christ are spiritual, Jew or Gentile. Both are incorporated into One New Man called the Church, the New Israel. FYI: Christ is also the New Israel and we are such by our being one with Christ (See how Matthew treats Jesus in Chapters 1-7. Jesus is the faithful Son called out of Egypt, gone through the waters of baptism, in the wilderness for 40 days, ascended the Mount and delivered the new Torah for Kingdom Citizens).

      @@maxstrange7606 WE are all children of Abraham for sure. You have to be in the correct spiritual condition to be in the Church that is the church in which the apostle Paul is the masterbuilder. Peter has nothing to do with building the church. The church that Christ built he built on the Jews trust that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God, as Peter affirmed and Jesus confirmed. There is the gosple of the kingdom based on WHO Jesus is. The apostle Paul is commissioned by God to be the minister to all of Abrahams children. FYI YOu are calling the Word of God a lie by claiming in this age we are the new Israel. There will be a new Israel when Christ brings down the heavenly city of Jerusalem as promised. Then there will be a new Israel. You are believing a falsehood. How we get into the correct spiritual condition is by believing the gospel as taught by Paul. We put our trust in WHAT CHRIST DID FOR US ON THE CROSS. HIS SHED BLOOD, DEATH AND RESURRECTION. There is a good reason for the scripture Gal. 2 [6] But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: - They had no new revelations about WHAT Christ did so they could not teach him a thing. But he taught them. AND [7] But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; [8] (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)-BECAUSE THE JEWS HAVE THE KINGDOM PROMISE WITH THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL LIFE THERE. New Israel makes God out to be a liar.

    Dispensations are clearly taught and anyone who does not see this has not read their bible. Ephesians 1:10 clearly proves this. Anyone who has ever read the Bible knows that Adam , Noah, Abraham , Moses and Paul were given different and specific guidelines to live by. We are currently commanded by Jesus to follow Paul

    • @maxstrange7606

      There may be dispensations in the Bible but that does not mean that they need to be the main framework to control interpretation. They might be helpful but not ultimate. The N.T. authors see the O.T. as a type/shadow/promise and the N.T. as antitype/reality/fulfillment that has its fulfillment in a Christological framework, not an Israel-centric one. Christ is the interpretative key to the O.T. He and His disciples govern its interpretation, not a man-made theological system. The O.T. was written about Him (Luke 24, John 5, 1 Cor. 10:4) not Israel.

      Better late than never! (but not much) All Christians believe in covenants and dispensations, but there is substantial variety in the role both play and what constitutes either. There are definitely similarities across all view though, likely because we are all reading the same Bible and dealing with similar concerns.

    Every argument that Pastor Lyons presents here against Dispensationalism is completely obliterated in most scholarly dispensational writings as anti-dispensationalists hardly ever come up with new and thoughtful retorts. One of the best books I've read that debunks every single argument presented here is a book by Dr. Mark Hitchcock and Dr. Ed Hidson entitled, Can we Still Believe in the Rapture? Check it out if you're genuinely curious to know the truths of dispensationalism and do not want to rely on stawman presentations.

      Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ? (Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30) The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations? 1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Galatians 3:8) 2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ? 3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds? 4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh? 5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers? 6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"? 7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost? 8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.) 9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel? 10. Watch the CZcams video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology. Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church: “The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.” Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107. Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.” Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323. John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated… "...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.” John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.) What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16? Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth? Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups? Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and Hebrews 8:6-13? Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church?

Your saying one thing then when you read 1 cor 15 :51 you can’t say it’s not a mystery .could it be because you preach peter ! Acts 3:21? But Paul’s says rom 16:25 and the Commandments of the lord are given to us gentiles by Paul as he follows Christ! .notice he said I tell u a mystery! Ha ha ! Sound of a Trump is gods voice ! Come up hither !!! Rev 4 the rapture is in accordance with Paul’s gospel !peters preaching is in accordance with acts 3:21 .people love to blame dispensationlism on Darby n scofield but many existed before him even Jesus knew he was not sent to gentiles !! There time was not yet ! Notice nicodemus n isreal must be born again but the Samaritan woman wasn’t told to be born again ? Notice Steven sees Jesus standing? At the right hand of the father ! Were every time paul speaks of Christ as seated !hmm Isaiah 3:13 god judges isreal in unbelief,!!! So I guess Abraham’s seed isreal is Loami? Dude your confused by theses of Abraham ! We gentiles are only partakers of some promises not all !!! Please we can’t claim tithe blessings under grace !!!be smart n study only some apply that’s why paul says to follow him as he follows Christ because there’s a lot of common sense confusion going on here ! We are gentiles a flock of another fold ! John 17 . There’s a difference between the partaking of the promises and being one body of believers from being a new creation in accordance with the mystery program revelation of doctrine entrusted to paulto us gentiles according to god’s purpose ! Eph 3:9-21 .hebrew through revelation is for isreal guys !!! Write on your heart ? You can’t even repeat the the Ten Commandments! Ha lol !!! There remains a remnant and the rest were blinded !!! We are not isreal !! We are the dispensation of grace body of Christ ! Anybody be in Christ? He is a new creation not a must be born again first born son isreal ...just cuz you don’t understand how the tribulation religion will be in that time your rejecting Paul who says I came not to baptize but to preach the gospel! But if you wanta get wet that’s up to you !!!
