there's a very common trend indeed with critiques and their distaste for horror; even worse if it's gory.

I believe that they should make a new Halloween trilogy that brings back Danielle Harris as Jamie Lloyd. I like the idea of them making a new Halloween trilogy with Danielle Harris back as Jamie Lloyd.

@DrumDums I haven’t seen this movie yet, and it’s weird because I like monster movies and it really seems to me that, this at a very basic level is a coming of age story told through the lens of bride of Frankenstein or something like that at least from the trailers, in a very basic sense, I’m 50/50 on “artsy shit” as your wife put it and I must say, just like any movie “artsy” or not, it all depends on if I find the story/basic premise interesting and the basic premise of “coming of age” story told through the lens of bride of Frankenstein basically, does kind of get me interested, so I will give it a fair shot since it’s streaming on Hulu now, I’m not saying I will like it but, I don’t know if I will or not unless, I give the entire movie a fair shake right?

This was an awesome movie. All horror movies show from the perspective of the victims, but I enjoyed this twist. Excellent!!!

@DrumDums just went to see this today on my vacation in Florida with my mom and dad and my brother and his wife, all 5 of us went and saw this and I wasn’t thinking with my sister in law aka my brothers wife being a big cat lady to say the least, as she has one of her own was going to be such an emotional wreck. SPOILER WARNING!!!! If people are still reading after my blatant spoiler warning and they haven’t seen the movie yet, and they get spoiled that’s their fault, but one scene in particular really gave me Aliens vibes, where you had what I assume would be their “hive” if you want to call it that and all the things on the ground that reminded me of the face hugger eggs that they shoot out of when something organic gets within reach and also, the one that was much bigger than them, I immediately thought that must be their “Queen” much like in Aliens where the hordes of Xenomorphs had their “Queen”. I don’t know maybe that was unintentional but, getting those similarities in that sequence made me kind of chuckle since we have a new alien movie coming out at the end of August that besides Deadpool and Wolverine; is easily my most anticipated film of the summer.

The Favourite was pretty good and I enjoyed the first half of Poor Things but hated the second half. Yorgos like David Lynch clearly has talent but he's going down a bad road of just getting too far up his own a$$ and liking the smell of his own farts.

Poor Things had me like one of those people sitting next to Ted Striker...

One slasher film I'm gonna own soon is a hidden gem Hack o Lantern which I feel gets hated on too much a good throw back to Halloween. X ray was enjoyable.

Watched last night..Not for me Lee I thought it was sooo slow and boring 😴

Loved your reviews of this entire franchise! I watched it in order so this is the last vid for me. I didn’t like this Wrong Turn, but I think it was just a personal preference. I wish they didn’t call it wrong turn at all, it feels like a completely different world. Different genre too. I was horrified with the events that were happening and it was disturbing but I was hoping more for the classic slasher feel. The leading girl did great and I loved the ending scene. I enjoyed that she was able to fight back, and overcome. I also loved the costumes and masks of the foundation people. (Also didn’t love that the gay couple and the one black character were killed off/ made to look evil, but again, it was definitely horrifying in its own way and I can see the appeal!)

I never thought of that but the I am legend comparison, is really good , I get that too .

I liked this movie but I didn't love it. I was really hoping for a lot of lead-up to the invasion and then people figuring things out after the fact, but I felt like they didn't utilize the premise of a prequel (at least how I wanted them to). It didn't expand the lore any more than the excellent opening 10 minutes of "A Quiet Place Part II". The movie was also more of a character drama with aliens in the background. The first 2 movies had plenty of drama surrounding the family, but maybe they just integrated the aliens, survival, and emotion better so that it was more even. At some point in the theater, my brain said "this is basically a dramatic 'Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle' with aliens".

I can't fathom why this movie is being shilled so much unless these CZcamsrs are getting something from studios behind the scenes. Seriously...they literally never slam a movies...a bad movie is good...a horrible movie is "not bad"

This movie sucked, of all the stories to tell they didn't on this? 2/10. Boring, dull, annoying characters, amateur writing and director. Will literally never watch this again. The bar for movies in todays world has been set so low that a bad movie is considered good and a horrible movie is considered..."not bad"

I watched this movie last night. I still really enjoy it every watch. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But, I’m going to say here’s the thing that bothers me about the consensus on this film and Halloween Kills. I don’t get why people complain about Halloween Kills, which I think is the best version of Michael Myers in the entire franchise. David Gordon Green and James Jude Courtney brought Myers front and center and people hated the movie. A lot of those same people didn’t like when DGG decided to shake things up and make a new character the lead in the series finale. People then decided there wasn’t enough Myers in Ends. What do you want? To me, if you’re a Halloween fan, you can’t hate BOTH Kills and Ends because they provide variety on both sides of the spectrum. That’s just my opinion. I absolutely love Kills and Ends isn’t too far behind Kills on my franchise ranking.

Yorgos is....a different kind of animal. So the sake of being weird;just to be weird,is for me;over. I liked The Killing of the Sacred Deer- but fresh(to the extreme),becomes a "rotten tomato" really quick! Poor Things👎....so it's probably a pass on this one too,after your synopsis Lee.

Weren't the original movies in upstate NY near the coast? Or somewhere in upper New England

*spoiler* Naw naw this movie was as unrealistic as one could get in terms of character decisions and they’re interactions were awkward the whole time for no reason ending fell flat they had a perfect opportunity to set up a scene with the piano as a reference to her pops and finally letting go. Good visuals yeah good creature elements yeah but terrible plot line.

I really loved this movie, but scuba-cat was a bridge too far. I won't spoil except to say that the cat..... well, you'll see.

@DrumDums I’m going to see this one with my family while we are visiting my brother and his new wife Sierra who they just got married about a month ago and I can’t wait, not sure yet what time we are going to see it tomorrow, all I know for sure is we are going to see it tomorrow at some point, so we will most likely end up getting tickets tomorrow morning once we figure out what time tomorrow during the day that we can all go

my first reaction is i want to stay far away from this..BUT my second reaction is, I like strange odd movies sometimes..so...maybe I'll just watch it on 16x speed and get through it fast to satisfy both my sides LOL...Thanks Lee

Enjoyed the movie, it was a good movie, good storyline and good character development. The concept of having this movie in NY it was great, having such a dense population. I enjoy the pizza hunt (made me hungry), and the overall focus on you can find a little bit of happiness where the world is literally falling apart, regardless of her current health condition. I was hoping to see Emily Bunt or John Krasinski by the end of the show, it should have been a good connection to the following movie. It would have been better exploring how they figure it out that noise attract the aliens, and that they couldn't swim. The scene where the aliens were eating, it was confusing, as you could clearly see they are not a technological develop being, which opens a bigger question, how do they know to come to earth? (probably a rhetorical question)

the cat was the best actor in this lol. Never once Meow I was hoping for more seeing the creatures killing everyone and fighting the army.. Was disappointed. tho it is a good movie it's a one watch for me. Parts 1 and 2 are better

Peeping Tom was thrilling not scary. The movie was sort of weird. Why didn't the women run when the killer was recording with his camera. I didn't understood this type of logic.

This movie was both incredibly sad and terrifying at the same time.

I thought the tool shed kill was more effective and sat with me unlike the yoga kill. Yoga kill was more rad but tool shed kill was really disturbing and unsettling

Definitely my favorite Jason part 7 the look is awesome like you said showing his scars and all of it and it’s a shame part 8 they dropped the ball on look of Jason but anyway part 7 as a movie with what we got is still a good movie and it sucks with the drama behind the scenes so movie has its faults more because of the behind the scenes stuff so because of Jason his look that over rides the negative stuff and I like Tina as well so her and Jason
