@@vndmn8634 Hey I'm happy that you remembered me from my last comment! I'm still new the guitar, so all I can do is cover the acoustic version of moon. Still making it a goal to cover the heavy version of it, maybe within the year or the next one. But I was wondering for the heavier version, what gives off the distorted sound? is it a distortion pedal? if so what are the chords or tabs?

@@erikbest5371 Yeah! ofc I remembered, I check your channel every now and then to see if you uploaded the cover! So in terms of the loud heavy thing on the original moon, I'm pretty sure -but don't quote me on this- that Phil used some synths to make those sounds. In my cover I used heavily reverbed and distorted MIDI guitars, but you can achieve the same sound by using a reverb pedal and distortion on your actual guitar. Just make sure your distortion goes AFTER the reverb, this is a pretty common combination of sounds in the shoegaze genre, so maybe check it out if you're interested in developing the sound a bit more! As far as the chords go, you might've noticed that Phil plays the same 2 chords all throughout the song, Bm7 and Gadd9, and those are the exact chords played during the heavy parts. Seeing as how you're new to guitar, if the weird "add9" or "m7" chord shapes are giving you trouble, you can play your normal Bm - G chords or just strum the same shapes he plays in the acoustic version, both of these options will do the trick! enjoy playing!!😄

i do remember the chords however, my version goes Em - G - C - G so the original should go Gm - Bb - Eb - Bb hope that helps
