random noise made by a composer who does not even know what music is
The commentator calling THIS random noise has apparently not even listened or watched this video, even though Cage later of course made deliberately aleatoric or "random" things. This does not sound random in the least, but very simple and perhaps even boring if you listen to it with the expectations based on Bach-Beethoven-Brahms-Debussy-Schoenberg etc. (not to speak of Sorabji:). Meditational rather than rich in details and thus presaging minimalism. @@KrisSucksAtLife

@@michaeledwards1172 This is quite an old Russian song, Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi wrote it in 1956. He died in 1979, well before CZcams existed - before the internet even. You can read about the composer here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Solovyov-Sedoi and about the song Moscow Nights here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow_Nights It is a lovely song, the Russian is easy to learn and there are some good translations, but I prefer to sing it in Russian.
