I believe there is a way to normalize the IR, I alway\s seem to make mine a bit loud. It'll take a bit of experimentation, but if set up correctly you should be able to make irs that are around the correct volume compared to other irs. If not you could try normalizing it

@@StevieMcLaughlinMusic i handled it afterwards on cubase somehow, cheers! Key thing is one needs to set the locators precisely as per to ir file, else is sounds like crap.

You can just use the tone match within your DAW if you want. Turning the output into a ir is so you can export it to a vst like Helix Native, or Neural DSP or you can import them into a moddeler pedal board such as HX Stomp

Yes you're probably right. I suppose I just use these titles as jumping off points and the track always ends up sounding like my stuff. Main thing is to get something started and avoid any writers block. I do love the guitars being on the heavier side though 🎸🤘

But I install my new Reaper, for example 709, by unzipping the ZIP-file and not using the installer EXE. And then I give him a license. Maybe something is missing in the AppData folder? Maybe some option is not enabled? I checked a lot of files and menus but couldn't find any difference and I just got used to doing without it. Everything another functions else works.

@@StevieMcLaughlinMusic it's a miracle! I deleted Reaper.. deleted everything from the AppData folder.. archived all other versions of Reaper.. installed 711-64 via EXE.. installed a license. I was sure it would work. BUT NO! He sees the notes, but does not move in the “step-by-step” mode. Wow! What me personal reaper-problem)))((( ---Win 11-64 Then...I unzipped the portable (packaged) Reaper 630. And everything works there right away without a license - just the “two legs” button. What is not turned on in 711?

Good point! I should have mentioned it. It's a cheap volume pedal by Lead Foot. Not sure what it costs now but when I got it a few years ago it was about £10 / $12. It is connected to my midi keyboard via the expression input using a trs jack to 2 mono jacks. The input and output of the volume pedal are connected to the mono jacks and the trs to the expression in on the keyboard. There are better and more elegant set ups but this is cheap and cheerful and gets the job done
