Amazing how they came up with this stuff and it was all mechanical. I was recently working on the cruise servo on my 92 Buick and its electronic, at leasr partially. I was wondering how the heck they had cruise before the computer handled it.

I used dimes on my 472. They fit perfect and They're made Nickel stainless and it's got a coolness factor.

Andrew, I have a ‘79 Chevy Silverado K20 with a ‘74 454. I have the cruise control transducer that you broke down. I appreciated your description and knowledge. Would it be possible to talk to you about the transducer and get a lil expert knowledge from you. Absolutely willing to pay for your time. My speedometer has stopped working too

Another note on the dynaflow is it is very simple. Not much inside very similar to a model t Ford trans in operation. Buick thought it would be good to use it in the first year riviera with a 425 engine.

Early buick dynaflow was a horrible transmissions that evolved into the twin turbine transmissions in1956 to 1963 one of the best trans ever.

Thanks brotha, I'm planning on doing a dual radiator fan conversion and I don't have a programmer for the fan set up. So this will help bypass that and just use a relay & temp switch sensor

I have one on my 81 Z28 that doesn’t work. The carb has been replaced with a Holley 4160. I want to bypass the mechanism altogether with a 1 piece cable.

they changed that gasket, those tabs sticking out were used to staple the two gaskets together for the cover gasket. That's what those tabs were for.

I drive an 11 ctsv wagon as well, last night I was driving on the freeway and the car seems to be swaying at higher speeds. When I go 80mph it feels like the car is being pushed by a strong gust of wind only way I can explain it. Could this be my problem?

I just looked at a '16 Optima with a leak, it has the same crack.

I got a customer car in went into limp mode. Found someone installled 2005 rle withouth vlp into this 2010 chrysler 300 with vlp. Can i mod something to run it or is do i just tell this guy to buy another trans and have me install it.

Does the fuel pump eccentric have anything to do with end play on these 472, 500 engines ? I sold a used 472 eccentric to a guy on ebay, He left me Negative feedback. He claims in his own words.......THE NED OF THE ECCENTRIC HAD BEE GROUND OFF . THAT MAKES IT WORTHLES THAT HAOW CADILLAC SET THE END PLAY IN THE CAMSHAFT

I HAVE A 53 BUCK ENGINE RUNS GOOD TIL I PUT IT INTO GEAR, IS THER ANYTHING IN THE TRANS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO DIE WHEN PUT INTO GEAR?

Have a Leak coming in right at front speakers, both sides. Coming thru top of the pillar on the inside of it ending up coming out by parking break release. The water is coming out on outside of door panel at speaker.

Excellent video! Just bought a 79 Blazer and while the wife was driving home with cruise control on, the speedometer quit working and the car tried to speed up quickly. The truck had not been driven for a long time (years). She hit the brake pedal and cruise control came off and the speedometer never worked the rest of the trip. I suspect the gear drive got seized up like you mentioned. Thanks a bunch with your explanation, now I know what to look for!

Hi Can u direct me to the correct cable clips eg the clip that holds wire to front pump . Do u have a part number or is it common with other transmissions . Can u please provide any leads to acquire these ????. May I suggest u use small hydraulic spiral wrap to cover cable . I imported a full SWP setup overhauled but no clips !!!

There was 2 different diameter SwP torque convertors also in the GM vehicle group .Variations were used in many vehicle Makes Jaguar Rolls Royce Ferrari etc etc . Not much info but there is evidence many were SwP versions

Conversion SWP to a common Chev TH400 involves having the correct case . The bolt hole count varies . From memory 1971 and earlier chevy cases are suitable

Back in the 80s I bought a switch pitch torque converter, input shaft and solenoid from Kenny Bell. Had a tranny tech installed them in a 400 th and hook a wire to the brake switch. Stall was about 3150 rpm

2016 Kia Optima 2.4, same issue for me near that same spot. I just replaced the pan. This should have been addressed sooner, but seeing how Kia has been with their other issues I'm not shocked they haven't addressed this.

So hard to believe that the retaining ring and the retainer holds that spring in eh! I was worried there. Im doing one with my fella shortly. I work at a transmission place, i take allison transmissions apart and build ptos and clutch disconnects so far. I love transmissions. Super awesome. Im so stoked you put this video up!

Awesome information! I have a question, when you reinstall the drum, does it go to the right or left of the creep switch? My drum was damaged and and got another from the salvage yard. I don't want to damage the new one. Please let me know! Thanks and God Bless!
