Mostly music videos, especially 80s bands, Jimi Hendrix, and especially live or pro Game Theory and Thin White Rope - also artsy fooling around, slide shows of my photography with my favorite music, including fine art figure studies, and other random fun - for me, at least. :-)

can you imagine.. seeing them play in a small, neighborhood alternative rock bar ??
Amazing! Live early REM is pretty rare....love it!
This is a clinic in kick ass rock and roll..
Perfect circle ? More like Perfect song..
This song/album came out at the same time I got my driver's license. OMG, I wish I could go back.
Me to i got my driving license that same year I was 21 it was the best year of my life so much happened in that year. The summer of 89 i met my then to be future wife i cou ld go on and on about 1989 id give all my tomorrow's just to go back for one day
Awesome
Now we know why Ernie became such a great guitar player
if i had to describe REM with one word, only.. it would be… unique
"Life's Rich Pageant" is amazing and that's my favorite track.
Thank you, thank you, thank you….been a fan of REM for a long time, but events, happenings like this show me how much more is out there still to be discovered, enjoyed and savored😊
Michael voice is REM signature.
Michael so young and so sexy.❤
Gnosis like "Suppers Ready"
They are all translators of emotion. 👑
I'm certain I've said that before.
Here's the original Isley Brother's version without Jimi. It's crowded, over-sung and no where near as cool as the Hendrix touch that shaped the Isley sound. czcams.com/video/4A3UNiaGoKQ/video.html
"Move over rover, and let Jimi take over" -Fire -Jimi Hendrix
Such a creative force was this band.
I wish he had been able to hold onto that voice a little longer. Once he lost his hair there was a noticeable change.
Thanks for this!
How an REM live video that was posted 17yrs ago only has three comments is insane. This is REM in 1983 people! Guess you had to be there.
I've been a big fan since 1982.
I wrote “R.E. M.” on all of my book-covers in high school in the mid/early eighties. I developed the greatest group of friends by doing that. Saw the Reckoning, Life’ Pageant, Fables, etc tours with those same great friends. We formed a great band in high school and used to play covers of everything REM. Life was great.
we are peers
The same, the same, the same! Such wonderful memories! 😀 Saw the Document tour at the Fox in Atlanta in in 87
This is clearly Parliament before there was a Funkadelic. Greatness
Fantastic live sound. Thanks ❤❤😊
I listened to Hendrix a lot.....how did he do it ?
OMG another gem. Love it ❤
That’s a gem, nice one!
Darn right Scott was a LISP programmer. Even in english it is pure poetry!
1st. Oh my this is spectacular. We all miss Scott and his music immensely.
I never knew anything about Scott until the time came to work and jam with him in the late 80s and early '90s. So that's how I miss him: in those contexts. He was a cool guy at work and playing, and still missed.
LF was my first introduction to Scott Miller's work and probably my favourite band of his. Really terrific stuff
I have a batch of board tapes from this tour that you and Fred Hutchinson gave me. I also have some of these photos from the milestone shows, game theory and loud family. Not sure how I got them but I do.
Incredible band. That's Dan Castelli on bass.
So cool.
The Isleys had to know what a gem they had when Jimi was their guitarist... or do we just have the benefit of hindsight?
far as what Ive read they knew how great he was, treated him like family and respected his talents - good guys
Far out. Groovy tune man.
I want this played at my funeral
Delicate, melancholy, poignant. Apparently it was inspired by a moment when they were touring back in the Chronic Town period and Peter and Michael were on a pier overlooking a beach and Peter just started crying, and couldn't say why. That's the vibe of this song: beautiful sadness
That opening riff is so... angular
Beautiful Donnette
Awesome. Thank you 😊
Is Shalini in this video?
Yes - she's the taller of the two girls, wearing a white jacket
@@angrylambie thanks!
Thanks for this, awesome!
I too, believe in coyotes 😎
gia' si sente la "mano" di hendrix !
Hendrix lived with the Isley family for two years
I'm at this one!
Do you know if Donette has seen these?
she wasn't in the band at this time (1983) - she joined in 1986, after the band relocated to San Francisco - that said, yes - I believe she's seen these because the link is posted to facebook Game Theory groups to which she belongs -
This is cool, my favorite song by them.
