Over the past 25 years, Dr. Lamberton has been mentored by Mike Ganus USA and Antoine Jacops Vorselaar Belgium in addition to the Janssen Brothers, Joseph Van Limpt "De Klak," Jan Groendelaars, Jef & Luc Houben, Gerard & Michael Van Hee, Van Rihjn Kloeck, Flor Engels, Jos Thone, and Ad Schaerlaeckens in Belgium and Holland. Since Jeff has assumed the management of Lamberton Racing Pigeons, they have won 1st National President's Cup ARPU 2008-2009; 1st National Champion Old Bird Loft Long Distance ARPU 2009; 1st National Champion Old Bird Loft All Distance ARPU 2009; 2nd National Champion Old Bird Loft Long Distance ARPU 2009; 6th National Champion Young Bird Loft ARPU 2010 and 1st Provincial Champion Loft Brabant Belgium 2006.

At Lamberton Racing Pigeons, we require our homing pigeons to fly home into the wind for at least one-third of our training tosses in the automobile. This type of exercise is referred to as resistance training. Hi Phil from Blueskylofts here. I am a English pigeon fancier, living in the South West of England. We pair up the first week of December, just in time to get new rings on January 2nd and get them on the birds. I have used the 'Darkness System' for my young pigeons for many years without ANY bad effects on the birds at a later age. As you say, in Europe we start racing young birds around July, but the bigger/longer/ better races of Y/B's are not until August when the birds need to be at their best. Flying young birds on the Widowhood method is becoming more popular here in the UK, but many fanciers think it will ruin they birds for later years - I don't agree, I think it does them no harm at all and certainly gives the Y/B's more motivation.
