I love the black 5's Carl, i have four of them. Those little Jinty's are remarkable for their age. I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Wrenn/Hornby Dublo are indeed a quality loco Carl. I don't have many, but the ones I do have are like yours. Good reliable runners that are great to watch. Enjoyed the running session mate, I enjoy seeing what you have collected. Steven.

I like your videos Carl for a couple of reasons,one they are mostly short and sweet but factual.Two it’s nice to a lot of old models still running.A lot of people have little breaks,when the weather is nice I have so much to do in my garden I haven’t got time to play with my trains,so thanks for showing me your layout 😊👍

Another nice running session Carl. Hornby must have made millions of the blue class 37's, there is always lots for sale on ebay. I think it was in every Hornby catalogue i can remember from my childhood years. I love it. I have two of them, one of the early ones and a later one named " William Cookworthy ".

Hi Carl another nice running session.I have more Lima locos than any other manufacturer.You are right they are getting expensive on eBay,but only if you pay it! Some of the start of prices are ridiculously high.

Hi Carl, the prices on Ebay are insane mate. I've been getting a few off Marketplace recently. It's a lot easier negotiating a price than bidding and hoping. The SNCF diesels were good performers on the non-electricified lines back in the 60s, they replaced the steam locos. They were mixed traffic but ended up just hauling freight. Yours is a nice runner, you just need the steam van. They are getting hard to find and cost a mint.
Hi Steven, Ebay prices have gone crazy. Blaenavon model railway shop is only about 5 miles from us and the money go,s to the railway. I,v bought a few loco,s from there. I,v been looking for a steam van on Ebay today, no luck Thankyou butty, all the best. Carl.

Lima steam locos tend to be overlooked but they can be really good runners if looked after. I have the French loco. It's an American -built 141R and mine is in green SNCF livery with etched brass number plates. Great video!

Bachmann and split gears, sounds about par for the course mate. ive got a Jouef version which needs a new motor. Great runner while it was going, but I left it stalled on a set of points and fragged it. My bad. I'm hunting the XPT Aussie version of the XPT. Bit of a rare bird these days. Steven.

HHi Carl, I get most of my loco's, when they have them, from the Cardiff Antique Centre in the Royal Arcade. That was great seeing them all running smoothly for you. Very good.
@@2010ditta Hi 2010ditta, I,v been to Cardiff a few times lately. I could,nt find that place, I,v heared quite a bit about it. I have bought a lot of loco,s and rolling stock from Blaenavon model railway shop. It's part of Pontypool & Blaenavon railway. It's only about 6 miles from me, and my son lives in Blaenavon. If your up this way I would recommend you go there. I try to buy non or poor runners & fix them. Thankyou for watching, all the best. Carl.

Hi Carl. Nice to see the old diesels running on the layout. The older ones are much easier to maintain and replacement motors for the Limas are still quite reasonably priced.

I like Lima's Western Classes quite a lot, Carl. At the time they were made they held up pretty well as models. I don't think i have any modern Hornby or other manufacturers versions to make a comparison. You can only buy so many models. Steven.

Lima locos are underrated if I count the Starter set ones I have I have 6 lima locos from various time periods, they all run great!
