I tried the BOSS, and it's the best bar none. It sounds great, it has vintage and rich modes (I pick vintage), and mechanically it is fantastic to operate, you can ride the wah and keep it at 80-90%, then slam it to 100% for emphasis, and pull it back to 0% effortlessly, it is very smooth. It also doesn't sound harsh at 100%. If you want to play the wah like Joe Satriani and use it as an integral part of your lead play with finer nuances coming from the wah, this is the pedal to go for.

Thoroughly enjoyed how you put the tracks together by building them from the ground up showing the differences in sound in the rhythm guitar and guitar solo parts. I personally enjoyed the Power Driver sound with how they came through my headphones (I'm using AKG K240 headphones) but I can see the other two pedals working within different contexts based on the overall desired sound in a mix!

If You boost this pedal with a boss SD-1 you get an amazing tone. Great for ac-dc tones and punk rock power cords. I haven't found a pedal that beats this combo.

Cry baby boosts volume, and saturate clean tones, that's not nice. Does boss do that? Anyone played this?

Nice demo,od3 can be a stand alone base od,while the od-2r has the versatility from rthym to lead switching but you can convert your od-2r which i have,change c17, c12 from .183 uf upto .223uf then youll get the bass wollyness of the od-3

the boss compresses the sound/eats a bit of the frequencies

OD-2R is the winner thx to the Turbo mode that propels more mids that sounds great for melody playing. Even at the non turbo mode, it held its own against the mighty OD3.

I prefer the breaker, less fizz than the driver. Although, I have a Keeley super phat mod bluesdriver and it's not fizzy. I prefer the Greer Southland harmonic medium gain od to either of these pedals. Cheers.

That was a good demo, but it would have been better for your clean sound to be clean. Yours was low gain .

i gonna change my od2r and od3 for a double trouble of visual sound ou a jake&hyde, I think both boss overdrives is so "over" too much, sometimes I listen clean tones in my guitar.... what do you think? Nice demo!

I like the OD-3 for my all-round overdrive Sound. The OD-2r is also nice, it has a more mid focused sound and ist great for boosting solos for just the right grid, that feels good. :-)
