My elder brother works in RRB Scale II, and he had a query. It takes 4 years for an SBI PO to become a Scale II officer, including a 2-year probation period and 2 years of service as a Scale I officer. On the other hand, the probation period for an SBI CBO is just 6 months. So, will it take them 2 years and 6 months (6 months of probation + 2 years of service) to become a Scale II officer, or will it take longer?"

As I am a Specialist Cadre Officer and not a General Cadre Officer future growth prospects are not very bright. Also conversions from SO to GBO in our bank is also not happening since 2018.
