Are you talking about Diamond Island? If so, yes, I go there often to the DIB club and Coconut Park. Not many ladies there and only empty Chinese condos, sadly. It’s peaceful but also not a place western’s like us want to live in. It’s 99% Chinese

Yep, you are right. Meat and seafood is super available and cheap. People think it’s difficult to be keto here or anywhere for that matter. Fact is, it’s easy wherever you go. Well, get back here ASAP, rather than being stuck in that mess of a country. I left the USA 7 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made!

@@robshealthcrunch In Brunei it is a $750 USD fine for smoking in public, but they really don't enforce if you are discrete. But I do love Brunei. They let you go to the Malay border about 40 mins away and get smokes and booze to bring back. I love Labuan Malaysia and KK also, but those 2 countries they don't allow immigration 6 month stay is only allowed

Well, I lived in SR for 10 months last year. Besides Angkor Wat is doesn’t have much. Downtown is nice but small. The riverside is nice, but more of a pond than a river. It’s in the middle of nowhere and takes hours to get anywhere. No beaches. If I were you the Philippines would be 100% better purely because of the amazing beaches which is just what you want for retirement. Please feel free to ask me anything else

'''my thinking''' for SR was for all the affordable street food (I cook very little) and the cheap rent would allow me freedom to travel a good bit - every month - perhaps a cheap flight to Bangkok for some fun & Kuala Lumpur.... since those countries have more demanding visas - just visit frequently ? Bali - Georgetown - Brunei - Jakarta...... ? After a year or so of that - then - maybe the Philippines...? Maybe only half the month actually in SR (?) to rest - do a movie - visit a friendly expat or 2......? Flights are cheap if made in advance enough. --?-- 🤗

@@KB3TLE yes true. But! Forget flying out of SR. Very few flights and all stupidly expensive. So you’d have to travel 7 hours to Phnom Penh by bus all the time. I did this often and hated it. Thus I would recommend Kampot.

that is why I am leaving the PI the freaking dogs drive me crazy, I can't even live in my own house because it is freaking noise, I am fed up with the PI and it's people charging me the skin tax
