I do not own the music used in the video.

Great work. Love it!
🤩wow! Thanks for sharing👍
Couple coats of no3 tresemee hairspray or ak worn effects would had that same effect done in 10 mins! Same with the decals using micro sol and giving the decals a dust coat after they have 6 hours of melting in to the paint for the painted on look and non silvering some oil washes over thay rust would look amazing
Can I get this Van from you? I want to own a piece of your work.
The van is long gone, but I'd be more than happy to do a commission job.
That diorama in the beginning is cool.
Awesome tutorial! Thanks! Where did you get the shot bed chevys? I’ve been looking and candy find any!
Ojalá; qué sea la réplica de la Máquina del Misterio (The Mystery Machine); de Scooby Doo; saludos.
The shingles is really good idea, I have deff enough bundles lol and easy access to wood shingle scrap metal, think time to switch from barns for me, good video tho!
HELL YEAH FREE CANDY.....looks great bud. I really appreciate your input on the rustic look.
Man this is awesome.. wish I won it
Hey I just seen this and love your garage/front yard area you show at the beginning and end. Do you think you could make a video breaking down what you used and how you made it. The material used to build the walls of the house look super good it would help a ton. Thanks man
Hey man! This may be a bit of a long comment, so bear with me. Not long after these videos were posted, I went through some life changes and had to "downsize", so I lost nearly all of my scale modeling stuff, so sadly I can't do a full feature on it. If you go to Instagram and search for "Vannarsdall_Scale", you'll see some in-progress pictures. I used scrap plywood, assorted square and round wooden craft dowels, and popsicle sticks for 99% of the construction. Assuming 1/24 scale, I decided on the size of the "yard" and "garage", and built them on a plywood base. I used Hobby Lobby's train section as a big resource for the grass and greenery. The driveway is an upside-down roofing shingle cut to fit. The fence is popsicle sticks and dowels. The garage is plywood, with texture paint for the roof. The wall is built from stacked square dowels with a smooth surface via drywall repair putty, same as the garage. Again, if you message me on IG, I have a ton of in-progress pics I can send your way!
Brilliant. Tks
is the primer red oxide colour? It looks really good when its properly cured...I think it will make a better first coat because it looks rusty, if you get me?
It is red oxide. Used it for exactly that reason, to appear as rust under top coat
Going to do a Christian build with that technique
Thanks for the video good stuff 👍👍
So many model car sites doing weathering show and tells, but nobody talks about reference material. Take a drive and find an oldie, take photos, talk to body shop people and find out where these vans like this rusted out and where. Take your model with you. A van such as this rarely got the roof washed let alone waxed so that would show the most sun damage. Thanks to the military modellers there are a lot of products that can be used for scale wear and tear. Just sayin'.
Awesome video! Very useful!
What is the Part Number for Frame-Rail ? EverGreen I hope
What kit is this , it looks like a Ford van eco line?
It's an AMT kit, just a ford van. It came in tons of different variants. This one can be found at hobby lobby or online
Cool thanks
kinda surprised you didn't weather or rust the chrome bumpers, at least around the bolted connections or on the lower half of the corners.
Wow man! Great video! I have seen several videos and this seems like the best and easiest way to do it without airbrush!!! Great video great tutorial!!! Thanks a lot!
I have a Chevy rescue van I'm going to weather and this video is perfect! That you so much for posting!!

Very helpful information, I will be trying it soon on a model of the Titanic . Thanks Mike Espo .
Glad I could help in some way!
Yes , I want to make the Titanic model look all rusty . Mike Espo .
Do you know if you can seal these weathering master kits with Tamiya clear coat matte?
Yes, you can clear over the pigments, but do a couple of very very light coats at first, allow them to get tacky to the touch, then you can lay 1 full coat and itll prevent any movement / sagging / oversaturation.
@@Vann_Scale_Modeling Thanks for the help/info. Much appreciated. Ive used the weathering kits on a diecast 1/43 scale car thats been lightly sanded (not sanded all the way down to bare metal). I was a bit unsure about using the Tamiya clear coat i have because i noticed it says "for plastic" on the can. Im guessing it should still be okay to use on a lightly sanded diecast vehicle. I think i'll have to test it on a separate car. If it doesn't work i guess i could just not bother sealing it at all, because its going to be fixed into a 1/43 scale Perspex display case, so it wont be getting handled.
Hey, I just found your channel. Totally cool weathering tutorial here. I love it. You are very skilled and your channel rocks. We share the same passion for scale cars. I'm doing makeovers on my channel. Mostly 1:64 stuff - you might like it. Check it out. I’m always looking for new ideas, tips and tricks to improve my own content. I'm subbing to your channel (#763) and smashing the notification bell. Hit me back! Have fun with the cars and be safe, brother. Greetings from a new friend in Switzerland - Andrew

Only with acrylic spray or does it work with tamiya spray?
This method works with any paint type, even down to small brush-painted parts
Got a 1:24 diecast Citroen Type H van so this is ideal. Always wanted to learn how to do weathering. The van is going to be in a scene inside an old barn and I want it to look like it's been sitting for about 20 years so it's going to need a lot of oxidation and surface rust on the brightwork.
SPEED KILLS!
Where did u get the rims for that White truck
theyre from a private seller, head over to instagram and look for @jpscustommctwheels
