At about 5:40 into video, I would add: check between the black (hot) wire and white (neutral) wire and black wire and ground (bare copper) wire with a multimeter to make sure the breaker that was labeled "dishwasher" is the right breaker.

Great video! I actually just ordered a Bosch dishwasher which apparently doesnt give the hard wire option anyway. My previous was hard wired. I will be installing a GFCI in the adjacent cabinet (not behind the dishwasher for accessibility in the event of faulting). This video is a great guide. My only personal concern is, like you, I have particle board cabinetry. If the dishwasher leaks (like my current did) it will soak into the MDF I'm attaching the electrical box to. Not a great idea, but I i dont have the ability to relocate the wire for my dishwasher circuit easily to a dry cabinet (like under the sink). I think putting it in a different cabinet is safer than the sink. Disposal and dishwasher have rules if they share a plug and i dont meet that criteria so i want them separate.

I found the exact same wiring situation in my bathroom and this is the tutorial I needed! I figured it was just my crappy house but I see others have suffered the same as me 😅

Thank you soo much for this instructional video! I was going to rent a Pressure Washer from Home Depot because I am cleaning my Mother-In-Law's backyard wooden deck. For the cost of the "One Day Rental" from Home Depot, I can literally purchase one of these and have it to keep forever. On top of that, I do Not have to race the clock and try to bring the Pressure Washer back to Home Depot before my time expires and I end up having to pay for an additional rental day. It really pays to take the time to do my research on CZcams before just going out and doing something spontaneously. Thanks again.

It doesn't make sense they wired this originally to only work when the switch is on for the light also. Would be nice to use the outlet independent of the post light being on.

I'm so scared to do these simple things lol I undis my connections junction power box thing from the dishwasher and discovered the wires melted into each other , I'ma cut them back and reuse the wires but may check to see if the other end of this is connect to a 3 switch and single socket junction box above the counter, any advice ?

This is all great information, and I've been using MERV 8 for a very long time, as it cuts down on dust and pet dander. My biggest concern with going up higher is that I live in Arizona, and the AC is already working overtime. What are the effects on the reduction of efficiency and overall airflow with a higher-rated filter?

The original fixture looks like a typical handyman install! I don't know how many times I've had to change a light fixture or ceiling fan only to find nothing was done correctly or up to code and how most handyman think a screw is a screw and don't know the difference between the different types!

I could’ve missed this in your explanation, but I also don’t recommending going above 11 merv rating. Yes they filter out more but become more restrictive and can cause issues.

Be prepared to get wet. I set up this sprinkler on a narrow side garden bed on a slope, and Oh Boy, I got soaked. Next time, I will get a hose with a shut-off value so I do not need to run to the faucet to turn off the water. Also, I did not get the spike far enough into the ground, and the sprinkler came out of the ground.
