In the waning days of Pride Month 2024 or perhaps to get an early start of Pride Month 2025, I really hope you will watch and react to Red, White & Royal Blue, such a change from the early days of any type of queer-representation on screen. I remember the shock to the straight community when Boys In The Band first came out, a movie which depicted openly gay men interacting each other, even though they were presented as such bitchy queens, it kept me in the closet for half-a-decade, as I didn't want to meet such people. (And since I didn't really know any openly gay men, I thought they were all like the ones in the movie.) And along with the tragedy in Philadelphia is another tragedy of Brokeback Mountain. Or the funeral being the gay character in the otherwise comedic Four Weddings & A Funeral. These cap a long history of queer characters being strongly hinted at, even though the Hays Code prevented more openness, but even so these were either the villains and/or suffered a tragic demise. So it is so refreshing to finally have a movie like RWRB.

Thank you! There's not going to be time to produce it this month but RWRB is 100% on my list. I don't think I'll be waiting a whole year for it, it is one I want to see. I saw Brokeback years ago, it was one of the first movies I remember sparking a lot of LGBTQ conversation when it came out. Thank you for your comment and I hope you'll stick around!

this is my favourite episode of this show. Really had the most scary episodes. And the wailing is really haunting! 2:07 okay, there's almost nothing on the internet about the source of this story. But there was once an interview with the actor from Izzy. From there you can deduce that the story is based on the comic book author Al WIlliamson and the name "The Successor". You can even watch the comic on the internet. But unfortunately that's it at this point. You have to know that the series had different authors. Some have tried to write cases very precisely (e.g. the story with the Titan) and then we have authors who have written the stories according to headlines and have allowed a lot of "artistic freedom" to flow in. I can't guarantee that this comic was the definitive hit. But everything points to it 6:42 This one is inspired by Louis (“Louie the Dip”) Finkelstein. King of the nation’s pickpockets, a dapper, Russian-born master of petty larceny who gleefully boasted of paying $8,000 a year in fines, court costs and lawyers’ fees, was arrested a record 121 times in Cleveland alone, once being nabbed with his fingers in the pockets of a police chief, another time with the wallet of a reporter covering his trial 14:19 Such a goosebump moment for me. Really left an impact as a kid watching this :D 19:02 Probs to the special effects. Look way better than this crappy cgi they use nowadays

5:38 I like the look he gave to heaven like "What did i do, to deserve this?" ^^ Awesome story 9:54 There are cases of twins getting accused of their sibling’s crime, though I haven’t found a case also involving them getting separated at birth. 17:33 I dont know, they tried so hard to make this story shoking and twisted. But its very light-hearted and awkward cute, as if they really stormed a grill party and said "Hey, wanna make a short movie?" ^^ 22:02 So this story is probably inspired by the crying boy painting. Its kinda far-fetched but both involve sppoky paintings and fire. In septembber 1985 some firefighter found amindst the ruins of a burned house this undamaged painting. By the end of November, belief in the painting's curse was widespread enough that The Sun newspaper was organising mass bonfires of the paintings, sent in by readers.

4:32 Yep, they got more budget in season 3 :D 9:34 What an awesome plottwist ^^ This story is bad from a telling from 1942: "One particular girl who was going decided it was important enough to have a new dress. She bought one at a local department store. At the dance after the dinner, her escort noticed a peculiar odor while they were dancing. She had been feeling faint, and she believed it was the odor. She thought the dye in the dress had faded, so she went to the washroom and took off the dress. There was nothing wrong, so she went back to the dance again. However, she felt more faint, and the odor still remained. She thought she had better sit down, and on the way back to their table, she fainted. Her escort took her home and called a doctor. She died before he got there. The boy explained about the odor, and the doctor investigated the dress and found that the dress had a familiar odor. He ordered an autopsy, and they discovered that the girl had formaldehyde in her veins. The drug had coagulated her blood and had stopped the flow. They investigated the department store where she had bought the dress and learned that the dress had been sold for a corpse and had been returned and sold to the girl. When she perspired and her pores opened, she took in the formaldehyde which killed her." 14:41 I mean, the story itself sems plausible to me. He died of fear, becauzse he believed tthat he was going to die. and gg for your 5/5

2:42 This nightmare story, man... its so haunting and evil. And a perfect plottwist. One of the most disturbing episodes of the show, imo. And i feel bad for everyone, except the wife. 19:45 This is a myth without any legitimate sources. But it says Ann Carter Lee is buried near her son, Robert E. Lee at the Lee Chapel in Lexington, VA. Its said that Ann was wrongly pronounced dead in the fall of 1805. She was placed in a coffin a funeral was held and her remains placed in the family vault. A week later the sexton entered the Lee vault to put fresh flowers on the casket, he heard her cry for help. She soon revivied and regained her health. 15 months later on January 19,1807 she gave birth to boy who was named Robert E. Lee.

    ??? WHAT IS THIS

  • @Schock_TV
    @Schock_TV Před 2 měsíci

4:40 Possibly based on the legend of the Elmore Rider, a ghost seen riding a motorcycle in Ohio. 5:19 Watch out... there are 2 stories to go in this series, that are THAT absurd and laughable that itll be an easy win for you :P 18:35 I found NOTHING about this story. But its hard to say how he died, because he was the only one who saw it. The only thing i can imagine is that the both workers wanted to prank, scared him to death by accident and tries to hide that. 23:04 The earliest telling i could find is from 1988. It was also reported in the Associated Press in 1996: Hamburg, Germany - A Spanish businessman and devout Roman Catholic who stopped to pray at a church during a trip to Stockholm ended up a millionaire, the Bild newspaper said Wednesday. The church was empty except for a coffin containing the remains of a man, so Eduardo Sierra knelt down and prayed for the deceased for 20 minutes, the Hamburg-based daily said. Sierra, 35, signed a condolence book after he saw a note saying those who prayed for the dead man should enter their name and address. He noticed he was the first to sign. Several weeks later he got a call from the Swedish capital informing him he was a millionaire, Bild said. Jens Svenson, the man he had prayed for, was a 73-year-old real estate dealer with no close relatives. He had specified in his will that “whoever prays for my soul gets all my belongings,” Bild said.

    1. Mel Brooks played the Governor, the Indian Chief, the round-up thug with the aviator hat. 2. Mel Brooks doesn't just break the 4th wall he shatters, steps on and grinds it into the ground. 3. The preacher/Liam Dunn also plays in Young "Frankenstein" as Mr. Hilltop. Madeline Khan also had a great roll in it. 4. Imagine how much fun this was to make. 5. The line, "You know morons" was ad lib by Wilder. Little's reaction was real. 6. "Look, it's comin' off" 7. Gig Young was supposed to play Jim but showed up the first day drunk so he was let go. Wilder agreed to do this movie for Mel Brooks only if Mel would direct Young Frankenstein for him. 8. Richard Pryor was supposed to play Bart but he was going through his addictions at the time and they thought it wouldn't be a good idea. However, he did some of the writing. 9. Finally, Mel Brooks is the only member of "Blazing Saddles" still living.

That always confused me. 9:48 After i saw this episode as a kid i alwaays fled out of the bathtub when a storm started ^^ 11:39 Actually the guillotine gave a quick death, so there were way more sadistic and painful methods that time ^^ 14:51 If you dont know the twist this scene is REALLY scary ^^ Love that 25:07 God, i love this story. I haven’t found any stories of hauntings at that location but the Madame Tussaud’s in Hollywood has stories of wax figures moving. I’ve found stories of other wax museums that claim to be haunted too. I’m not sure if there’s a specific museum where something close to the show’s story is said to have occurred or if the writers just used an amalgamation of different incidents. On the show it said it happened in Canada though, but I haven’t found anything close to what’s shown in the episode happening there.

@@JordangeVision actually, this series is such a success in germany. It still aires regulary every weekend since 1998. Its so popular, that germany revived this series with Jonathan Frakes himself as the host another fifth season. They made i believe 8/9 whole episodes and they release 1 episode each halloween. I sadly dont know, when they plan to release it in america (because its with american actors) but i hope someday youll be able to watch them too

6:24 This story is based on an article from Fate magazine from 1990, in which a red-eyed gargoyle terrifies newly attracted people. Allegedly, all the stories in the magazine are real, but nothing, absolutely nothing, can be found on the Internet. What's more, the story in the series is still very patchy and sometimes makes no sense from beginning to end. Why was the ghost without a body suddenly the grandma? Was it the soul of the man who had previously lived there and hanged himself? If he took possession of Grandma and she is now evil, why did nothing bad happen to the family after these two incidents, as Jonathan Frakes reveals in the closing credits? Did Granny voluntarily take the ghost inside herself and lock it away to protect the family? Why are we told absolutely nothing about this? I'm really at a loss about this story. Maybe you got it ^^ 13:39 If you look at this shot, where is this car going? First of all, there's no room and secondly, the car can't pick up that much speed in that short distance to do any damage to him ^^ 21:00 This story took place in Owensville High School, Indiana. 1939. But there are no official proofs of it

10:48 Legends say, that this article existed in the boston globe because a guy named Byron Somes had a dream about it before it happened. But the article cant be found, so there is no actual proof yet. But fun fact: The 1883 Eruption of Krakatoa was the loudest sound ever recorded in human history. The soundwave of the blast circled around the planet multiple times. 15:41 The story is based on Flight 811, on the side of which a hole appeared during the flight. However, the pilot miraculously managed to land the plane safely. Another fun fact. Another very well-documented case is Flight 401, where former employees who had already died were even seen before the accident. There is even a book and a movie about this incident called "The Ghost of Flight 401"

Okay, finally i can give more information on researched stories. This time A LOT: 11:21 So "Malibu Cop": So the real man behind this murder was Robert Ledru and it happend in paris, 1887. 15:33 This happened in Nebraska 1st of March 1950, where all the members of a church choir, who are very careful about punctuality, were all late that day and were therefore spared from the explosion. There is also a photo online of a newspaper article from that day. The only difference is that it wasn't 5 members, but 15, which makes it even more incredible. 19:57 A classic one. This chair still exists and can be viewed in a museum. This is the Busby Chair and it is in the Thirsk Museum in North Yorkshire. Even if I would rather call the incidents a legend. The chair is still very well known

4:47 I guess, yeah. But tbh, if every story contained ghosts, it would get very boring. So good to see they doing some "Its possible, but VERY unlikely" stories 7:39 New entry for the marvel universe ^^ Dont f with Mightyman :P I dont know, i think its plausible that the costume gave him courage and strength that he didn't know he really had deep down 21:44 Count Mystery is the story of a real horse named "Lady Wonder". And this horse was able to build real words like in the show. And 1955 they found a missing boy becuase of Lady Wonder. There are also some news articles online from that time. So this is pretty documented ^^

5:34 I think if this would been true, there would be TONS of proof and it would be easy to research, because it happend on a public event ^^ 12:11 Final Destination Vibes ^^ 17:33 I really like this story. They really had fun putting sound effects in. The supernatural stuff wasnt random at all, they all had a connection like the machine printing out "2 million", the amount of his assurance and the water gurgling symbolic for his drowning. 21:53 Yeah thats true. That also bugged me. The only thing i can imagine is that they saw her talking to her aunt the moment she died

1:37 Unlike the computer stories, this one aged really well... 5:23 The story is one of the few for which the author Robert Tralins has revealed the background: The handprint can still be admired today, at the Old Jail Museum in Pennsylvania. And it happened in 1877 in Carbon County Jail in cell 17 after a man sentenced to death pressed his hand against the wall and shouted "This is the hand of an innocent man". Even after his execution, the imprint could not be removed. The man's name was "Alexander Campbell"... yeah you see, they really stretch these stories for entertainment purposes. But i guess, as long as they kept the inner true core, i'm fine with it. 10:49 One of the few jumpscares of the show. I hate jumpscares and i'm happy they didnt overdo it. 13:08 Another Goosebump moment for me. I dont know, most ghost stories are kame but this one feels different because the protagonist all along at it was clever hinted. Solid acting, too. If this story wouldve been true. I guess she died when she drove back home and the lady checked days after the accident

8:05 Well... to be fair... only the parents saw it and it was dark. Maybe the child seat had a similar design... seems plausible to me... but hey, the plausible ones are often the false storys :D 12:19 It took me so long to notice that ^^ Good catch! 12:30 Damn... she really ghosted him :P 21:25 I dont know... they overdid the ghost stories in this episode ^^ 3/5 storys were "I've seen someone who died years ago"

  • @Schock_TV

3:38 So, the background to the story: 1986, Canada. There is a well-witnessed case at a Chathman base where a Cessna 172 took off, did some pirouettes and landed on its back without a soul in the plane. The official report speaks of a technical defect. But that doesn't sound plausible to me 6:48 I know, shes in panic, but still: "Mom, it's me!" - *keeps firing twenty more times* xD 10:48 Man, i remember this dude from "24"... good show ^^ 11:26 The real story referred to here is the artist André Marcellin. The authors have probably used newspaper articles and even if some see these incidents as urban legend, for some it remains unexplained 17:55 This part always gives me big goosebumps. This calm voice with his puire shocked face! Perfect 18:39 Damn... Hell of a good acting from him. Actually one of my most likes stories. And in my opinion very plausible to him having a mental breakdown becuase of all his guilt feelings. Maybe a caller with a similiar voice or name as his son triggered it. But yeah, storty is false, so nevermind 21:29 Actually in the story you can see the event from the point of view of the two outsiders and the baseball glove does not exist there. So as a hint that he's just completely losing it

As a die-hard fan of the show, who acutally researched some of these stories, I'll gladly watch these reactions and give some infortmation, whenever i have some :) 3:32 Always gives me goosebumps... i always like it when they use classical music for something horrible. Sets a weird tone and meakes you uncomfortable. 4:23 I was about to joke about the acting, but its not as bad as in the german dub. So points for her ^^ 10:24 As a kid i never got the story because they never directly say that they "kill" them. But now its such an ironic and brutal story 22:53 Well... congrats xD Highscore here ^^ 23:22 I liked James Brolin. He did a good job. But Jonathan Frakes is just a god ^^
