To avoid this, the best practice is to use the UNIQUEID() function for key generation, as it ensures uniqueness. However, if you need to stick to using a sequence number as the key, one way to minimize the risk of duplicates is by adjusting the process to reduce the time that a key is 'held' during creation. You could try generating the key earlier in the process or only assigning the key upon saving the row. This might help reduce the chances of concurrent duplicates. Example: If Users A and B are from the same department and have the same position, they will not be able to fill out the Annual Leave form for the same date. However, User C comes from the same department as A and B but has a different position. So, User C is able to request Annual Leave for the same date as User B or C.

For example, if a leave request for the same period, department, and position is already approved, the approval action for new requests can be hidden. Perhaps you may been confused with the Virtual column, those column that with "Blue color Pen", it is a virtual column that we need to manually create in the appsheet.

Hi there, we just have a quick test: 1) enable the AppSheet Event in the Google Sheet (extensions > AppSheet Events > turn events on/off > select the sheet that would on the AppSheet Event) 2) Then in the Appsheet, we create two bots, 1st: when data added, send an email. 2nd: when data updated, send an email. 3) Then we try to update some record in the google sheet, and also add a new record. 4) Both bot is worked, as we receive the both email. Hope this help.

Nice Job.. I am saying that I won't update Google Sheets manually. When you edit, add, or delete, the AppSheet event triggers, but when Google Sheets is updated through a third-party app, Google Script, or any formulas in Google Sheets, it does not trigger.
