Happy to have found this channel and video, just threw in some words about this topic that i was thinking about and the search showed me exactly 1 video 😂 I have the same feeling, not going too much into data myself, but it seems like the RB20 needs high speed corners to put enough energy into the tyres to get them into the operating window. Ever since miami, then imola and now monaco, the car slides around and doesnt generate enough grip. I also noticed that the RB needs 2-3 laps to fire up the tyres after SC restart, especially the hards. Somehow Newey went full-jetfighter on the RB20… Slow corners and chicanes are not made for this car. Similar drop in performance like Singapore 2023 on street circuits. My guess is, the „classic“ order will be re-established in Montreal or latest in Barcelona, Montreal is also more or less stop/go without a lot of fast sweeping corners. But the gap will be smaller than before.

When Max wins by 20-30 seconds it’s because of Max, when he only wins by 1 second it’s because of the car. 🤔

The setup was wrong only for the hard tyre because they lack of tests with that tyre.

Max took another pole position yesterday it was a close one but still took pole. He was in control for most of the race until about the last 10 laps where it looked like he had a battery de-rate issue, maybe he had pushed his hard tyre too hard at the start of the stint and was punished at the end for it. This is what happens when teams get close all of sudden the car has issues, it's still the best car on the grid but McLaren are nipping at Max's heels and I'm sure LeClerc will be strong in Monaco
