I´m from Valencia, just you will have to go to see this spectacle, is amazing feel the hits of the sound of the "masclets" (fireworks) in your chest, the smell of the powder, the ground trembling... Amazing.. Fallas starts on 1st of March and finish 19th of March with the Cremà, is just when they put on fire all the Fallas, and all those days you can see this spectacle called Mascletà in Plaza del Ayuntamiento, (town hall square) at 2pm. If you hace the chance, just go to enjoy with this feeling from Valencia.

We're not going this year unfortunately, enjoy the party!

Thanks, glad you like it. It was edited some time ago using Avid as it was the only thing that could cope with all the separate layers. Software and computers have moved on and most packages can handle lots of streams of video these days. I think templates don't really help as you never get exactly what you want for the footage you've shot.

I am guessing the descriptive names of the fireworks used. Things like "stun grenaders", "flash bombs", "cherry blasters", "ground cannons", "Armeggedon rockets", "earthquakers", and "booms that rock the world". All of the stuff is definitely 1.2G grade fireworks under USA law--only to be used by professionals, with a lot of 1.1G grade "flash powder" to boot..to create the loudest detonations. No wonder the mascleta is the noisiest fireworks display ever in the world!1

I have seen mascleta fireworks before on CZcams. So I am guessing which parts of the display have patterns. Usually the start would likely be called "first barrages", or "desperta starting"--named for the "desperta" that starts the fallas. The grand finale would likely be the "whitewash" because of the white smoke getting bigger and bigger near the finale. The display usually ends with a few final barrages of aerial rockets (with about 20 air blasts at the same time).

@rickhalsall For the main segment using Vegas you could set each shot up as an individual project then nest them into a new project and use the Push transition between each. As for the end I haven't done anything quite that fancy before. I imagine maybe taking each single project and saving it as a new one and using track motion to rotate them each individually? It would take some serious playing around with but obviously it can be done.

@rickhalsall A nice pair of Red/Cyan glasses. Overall I thought the effect worked best when things went into the distance and less well when things came towards the camera

although after watching it all the way through my left eye seems a little strained, like that eye was forced to do most of the converging or something...
