Thanks man, it really works. I soldered wires straight to chip instead, programmer was able to read firmware out while chip was in radio.

U nie cały czas mruga ten Safe i tyle to 1000 nie wyskakuje. Jaka może być tego przyczyna?
Ktoś mógł kilka razy wpisywać zły kod i radio się zablokowało - czasami pomaga zostawić włączone radio na kilka godzin - albo 2h albo 4h, już nie pamiętam ile, i pojawi się możliwość wpisania kodu. Jeśli nie, to już tylko programator i programowanie wsadu pamięci EEPROM/FLASH
Hi, i bought the same radio, connected + from bat and - from bat. Only blinks red, no display, no lights... must i connect the dimmer wire to where ? Or the + to ignition signal ?
There are couple of + needed in different pins, like "lumination" or something like that - check out pinout in Google or something

Not sure why you're replacing a super capacitor with a LiPo battery? This model of camera eats batteries because the battery is positioned on the sun facing side of the PCB so it gets fried in the summer. I've had to replace the battery in my front camera about 5~6 times since I bought it in 2014. I've wanted to switch mine to a super capacitor so now I know the specs I need... thank you 🙂 The G90 (original), G90C and GS90C (A7LA70) are all the same camera internally, so using the latest GS90C firmware they can all use a super capacitor as the time/date are collected from the GPS signal. However if your going the other way and don't want to implement GPS then a battery is essential to retain the date and time.
Originally there was Li-ION battery, that was cooked in summer, but experiments with supercap didn't went well. So I decided to use battery again
@@trelectronics7721 I found that the firmware for super capacitor models has a very nasty bug. The camera won't record any video until the screen times out and goes off, which is when (and only when) the clock and date are finally set in the camera by the GPS signal. So if your screen is set to go off after 5 mins after turning the camera on, the first 5 mins won't be recorded. I've tried several firmwares for GS90C and GS98C (all cross compatible as the G90 has identical hardware) and all have the bug... so replacing the batteries is the best solution (but annoying). Still a great camera as the Ambarella processor incorporates a hardware dewarp function, so no fisheye effect caused by the massive 170° viewing angle. The GoPro Hero3 used the same Ambarella processor. All 3 of my cameras are still going strong after over 6 years of use (very reliable and never crash)... but after each summer all the batteries usually need replacing.

Do You have exactly Delphi manufacturer? If not, than Your code could be 78xx - only two first digits from EEPROM and other two in MCU/uC. Then You have to start trying 100times: 7800 7801 7802 ... 100 times and You are golden :)

Only for Delphi - but it can give You The two first code digitis and You would have to try 100 times with last two digits from 00 to 99 and You will make it work again ;)

Nie, tylko Delphi - każde inne radio zwróci tylko dwie pierwsze cyfry kodu i trzeba po kolei wpisywać 100 kombinacji aż się trafi

Easy - i don't think that radio will run, because in this EEPROM is also program for main unit (let say "CPU"). You can buy the cheapest programmer CH341 and solve Your problem ;)

Yes, I used that one on video. You can use anything that will fit inside ;)
They are originally shipped with either a 303035 LiPo battery or a 5.5v 1.5F Super Capacitor 🙂 Only use a super capacitor if your using a later firmware that sets the date/clock from the GPS signal.

Any EEPROM programmer that will read that chip. For Example CH341 - no software needed if You have "Code 1000 dump". You can decode Your file to the original code too (if You want). Just make some Googleing ;)
