This is not an Adobe Photoshop workflow workshop, nor is this workshop highly technical. I have an analog mind in a digital world, so this DVD is a "down-home" explanation of how I use Photoshop on both color and black & white images. My techniques work with either scanned film or digital capture. This video was made before I shot digitally, therefore there is no mention of editing via RAW files.
Creating a photograph, whether in the darkroom or in Photoshop, requires an understanding of the tools needed to produce an image that reflects your personal vision. It is my hope that this video will inspire you to reach a new height in expressing your own vision through photography.
The creative process is a series of decisions on how to use the tools. In this video, I will explain the tools I use and how they work. You will also see some of the creative decisions I make.

About Clyde Butcher:
Clyde's black-and-white photography has been exhibited in museums across the United States and Europe. It can be seen on his website and at his two galleries. For more than 40 years he has been preserving on film the untouched areas of the landscape. His images are captured with an 8x10" and 11x14" view camera. They are printed in Limited Editions on fiber base paper and selenium toned for archival preservation. Clyde also scans his black-and-white negatives and then works on them in Photoshop to create books.
