Look up the Mohs hardness scale... and use that as a reference. Its the best way to learn. You can always ask Google what a specific stones hardness is as well.

Being that you are wiping off all the oil till you can handle it without leaving any oil residue on fingers/ hands... I would think your stones wil be safe under your lights. I've had mine in display cases fir days under high light and heat and had no problem at all. Hope this helps. Best wishes to you 💫

I've actually tried it on a small bead bracelet and the only problem is the oil gets stuck in the bead hole and it's hard to get out. But if you manage to wipe off all the oil it really doesn't leave any oil residue on your skin. But you will have to reapply over time

Its been a while but i believe it was from Ebay 🤦‍♀️ There were a couple pieces that may have been close to chrysoprase but it was mostly chrysopal I'm pretty sure. Too soft to be chalcedony of any sorts. Pretty material tho. Love the color

Actually we found no doubt DINOSAUR bones. So excited. I thought it was petrified wood at first. Then I watched a video that showed EXACTLY the textures patterns colors EVERYTHING was there. To think I was Disappointed to Only find wood. Wow. There are Miracles EVERYWHERE. I am disabled and these were Right where I could easily collect them. I make jewelry and art with natural beauty. Whatever I am Gifted in nature is what I use. I have enough material to work for YEARS now and not run out. F the Museums they can find their own. Not saying a WORD to any institution. Besides they sneer at us passionate amateurs. My friend had a TRex leg he Yeied to donate for a university study. No Doubt it was authentic. Last time he Ever contacted a university with a find. Toi bad for them being so stuck up. Of you KNOW someone who is PERSONALLY interested in seeing these I will be happy to talk to them Directly. Leave a message here. I am also Nuero Divergent and Gifted. Why my pattern recognition and ability to see details others miss is so refined. I used it from childhood to create art.
