Yes, you can. Just make sure you fry on low heat to achieve the crunchy top. If you rush the frying process, they won't be crunchy, and as soon as they hit room temperature they will deflat.

Cheddar cheese, mashed potato and onion is all that is needed for the filling, none of that béchamel or potato powder nonsense and definitely not that plastic fake cheese. 🙄

The problem is: how much time it keeps fresh and soft? Krispy still fresh and soft for 3-4 days….when I do at home, in the next day they already old and dry….
Well, you are right, when u get it right, on the 3rd day, they are still the same. You have to get the icing part right as well, it will help alot. It's not easy to get it right, I'm not gonna lie, and I haven't made them in a while, but, it's really worth the effort, considering the price have gone even more up for krispy Kreme Donuts
I make them with a tangzhong dough. It is wonderfully soft and keeps for longer. (If you've never heard of tangzhong, there are tons of recipes on the internet. It's like a roux you add in to your dough.)
