Perhaps not as good quality as my last video, but at least it has positive typing action.
Stereolab - Rainbo Conversation

Unofficial video. My first attempt at splicing up a music vid. Button Moon vs a clip about Mobius Transformations I took a fancy to.

Amo essa música!
love the bassline so much <33
I’m so happy to have found this video again! I thought it was lost forever
Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! Nothing else but perfection!
?
I Loved Merry Hill Centre
fav lab song
Easily one of my favorite songs of theirs... chords are a powerful thing, and for me, in this song, they somehow perfectly capture the feeling of pain, but with a faint glimpse of positivity in the future. (The pain especially comes along though when the piano riff starts at 1:41) Anyway, I guess I just really relate to this one more than any other song of theirs
the end of Tyler the Creator's IFHY verse 2, where there's a chord switch up and they start to sing "I'm in love", is the exact same chord progression in the suspension in this song wow
i hear exactly what you mean!! this is just perfect
Omg thank u for saying it
I yearn for romantic compassion To love is my sole aspiration For thee who has love in a million That has burnt unto consternation All those who're pig-face and divisive Glowing for our faces and our hearts Fusing at the sad transformation That has sadly altered the power It had to end, became too disappointing Another end leading a new beginning I'll try again, the right one will come along I need someone intoxicating and strong
I never knew her but I’m sure my family who adopted me did…. I miss her….
=.+
Lovely.
The Belle & Sebastian/Merry Hill mash up I never knew I needed! 🙂 Well this bought back a lot of memories!!!!!!!! Gosh the monorail seemed so futuristic back then. It's a shame it didn't last. Also two words: Children's World!
hi friend. stay connected
Muito massa ❤
Such a lovely fun song and cute video🤗🌙
why is this so good
Simply wonderful. I saw them twice in concert - the first time, when Laetitia announced this song, I was down front and shouted out "YES!". She seemed startled that someone down in New Zealand would know their music that well and kept looking at me while she sang it. Treasured memory, so sad they called it a day after the tragic death of Mary Hanson. The moment when the rhythm section kicks in is sublime.
What a great story!!!!!
I have to agree with Mr. Leslie (and pretty much everyone else) that this is just sublime. Dots and Loops was the first Stereolab album I got (on Cassette, in 1998 in Sam Goody in Ashford, Kent). Maybe its just the time and associations, but I think it really was their high-water mark, absolute perfection.
I neeed someooone...
...intoxicating and strooong.
Just lovely
probably my fab Lab song. This tune warms my heart in the truest sense.
Real Music
I agree. The absolute perfect summer driving song. So much emotion. Heartwrenching.
simple, mesmerizing, soaring ..
The part around 3:47 is absolutely amazing
OMG BUTTON MOON
Just two chords, but an amazing song.
Tropicalia.
j'adore les lentes harmoniques descendentes sur trois voix ..complètement hallucinant.
wow...love it...!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great combination!
cool video
Magnificent music.
Yes! Button moon!!
Ahhh!!! The peak. The best Lab ever did. So perfect. So stylish....So mood.....So missed in a current sort of way. How I wished they were on tour. How I wish I could kiss all the pretty nerd girls.....*happy sigh*
That took a weird turn
Very nice,
Bossa nova Brasil.
Aaa-mazing!!!
@raymondsharmon Well spotted. Amended accordingly.
This song is called "Rainbo Conversation" - its a place.
@penguinpolo Rene Descarte would be proud of you.
I have experienced something otherwordly with this song. After the song ended i found myself laying on the floor staring at the ceiling for 5 minutes straight not being able to move myself - talk about music being a drug.
very nice - works very well with such a great tune!
VERY cool! That could be a Stereolab vid <3
