Coffee w/BuckskinDave Muzzleloader Duplex Loads
Duplex loads were common with Black Powder Cartridge Shooters back in the day but what about Black Powder Muzzleloaders? I thought smokeless powder was taboo in muzzleloaders. Roberts reveils Shooters mixed smokeless with black powder with smokeless for duplex loads in muzzleloaders.
All shooting is done on a dedicated range.
Follow all reputable load manuals and this vid is for entertainment and not in any way a recomended loading procedure.

My first pistol in the late 80s was a series 80 Colt Gold Cup. Had the collet bushing and the trigger activated FP safety both. My worst 1911 lol. Fit and finish was awful. The slide rattled just awful. The bluing was thin all over in places. The Trigger was light, but stagey and awful. I have a $250 Tisa series 70 that's 1000% better. The Elliason sights were held on by a roll pin. The pin would back out after maybe 50 rounds. The first time I shot the gun I looked down and the pin was sticking out of the side of the pistol an inch or so. What an awful gun LOL. Bought in 1988 IIRC.

All brass manufactured is a little different. Rem,Win, Fed, Jamison, Bertram etc case capacities are a few grains different one from another. I never mix brass. I use one and stick with it. With black I fill to base of bullet using a drop tube then compress .100. I have varied compression trying to improve accuracy but normally .100 is the sweet spot for me. That is the fun of working up loads. Trying different things and looking for improvement. Never take chances and be careful and always note what changes you made and why.
