Midea is good when it works. I purchased two 12000-BTU units, and after two years, both stopped working. The code indicated that there was a loss of refrigerant. I contacted midea customer service and they didn't care about my problem They told me that there was only one year warranty. I discovered from the user's manual that the compressor has three years warranty and the seals have five years warranty. I contacted midea again, but they still didn't help. Since I was not able to find a technician that would work on window units, I had to throw both in the garbage.
