I’m a sword swinging nerd. My brother in law and I bought a set of practice katanas (while having real ones). We decided to duplicate sword fights in Star Wars first. If Jedi and sith didn’t have the force neither would win against us. Always give up the high ground in a sword fight, you will spend less time protecting your lower body. That shouldn’t require much thought. Ninja movies almost got us in trouble. After a year or so of doing it we switched to actual swords and started the whole “I’m gonna gut you like a fish” type talk. New neighbors had no idea we did this as a hobby and called the police. Important note when dealing with police; C average students and not issued a sense of humor, not allowed to bring their own. After they decided not to shoot us or arrest us on my private property, we went back to wooden swords and no threats.

The other detective is famous actor Clifton Powell. Aka Pinky the Pimp from the Friday movie.

The fat bully with the ball is the same kid who played child “Dough Boy” in Boyz N The Hood.

The look of Mega City One and the costumes and props were the best things from this movie. The script and characters were mostly bad to mediocre. If only the characters from the 2012 film were in this film it would've been a much more accurate adaptation.

I never quite understood Seagal's sense of justice. I watched the movie, and throughout the movie he was upset that a large amount of his money is being robbed. But then at the end, when he's faced with the person stealing his money, he lets the girl go with all his money. What in the heck? He did this in multiple movies which made everyone who died at the hands of Seagal completely needless.

I never noticed it but Seagal has like cartoonish fingers on his hand. I notice in a lot of scenes, he tries to hide his fingers by putting his hands in his pockets or cross armed.

Zebraman and Zebraman 2 are hella awesome movies! Ichiro Mizuki's voice is one of the greatest in the world of anime themes.

What do you think the missing scene was that was supposed to link everything together? I watched the movie myself and couldn't really figure out where. But I think the missing scene was introducing some of the characters that seem to just randomly appear. However, it's not uncommon for Seagal movies to have it where Seagal figures stuff out without any scene to tie it or place him there. It's like he knows what is going on, who the bad guys are, how to find them, and exactly what they're going to do next.

The entire storyline made me laugh. He's special forces turned Ip man. He goes to a random village to become like the village protector who goes around and beats people up like a 2nd grader. Then at the end, he flushes all he's been saying right down the toilet by going crazy shooting everyone.

Just because he got sued doesn't mean the guy won. I can't find any info on the outcome of the case, but the lawsuit was that they purposely made things excessive for the sake of the show. I don't think he would have won though considering the police can in fact use whatever they deem the safest.

Zebraman saying "Believe in Dreams" and then immediately eating it legit had me crying laughing

22 minutes watching this saved me from losing however many minutes the actual movie was. Life would be so much more interesting if cars blew up the way they do in the movies. I don’t think it was alcohol at 4 am that caused this movie. It was more likely one of those conversations at night that would have never happened if one guy didn’t have coke.

The funny thing about how ninjas trained in these movies is it’s more like gym class than any martial arts class. Ninjas all hung up their shirts in embarrassment at their portrayal in movies. Worse stereotype than being a stormtrooper.

despite how shoddy and silly it looks I will say the fight cartography is pretty good. At least better than most of the movies you review here.
