In the late 1980's original Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley wanted to reactivate the band. Original guitarist/vocalist Steve Marriott declined to become involved, but gave Shirley his blessing to continue on. Shirley organized a group based around himself and guitarist/vocalist Charlie Huhn, best known for his work with Ted Nugent and Victory up to that point. Wally Stocker, original guitarist...

PAT TRAVERS BAND: GETTIN' BETTA / YOU DON'T LOVE ME Live 1977
Caught this guy a few years ago when he was in his 70s, and the guy sounded better than most performers in their 40s. Interesting fact, he owned a successful Mortgage business in the Pittsburgh area for decades.
I built my first guitar around pat thralls guitar. I used a srtatoblaster preamp , DiMarzio x2n and Bill Lawrence pickups. At the time I was using a small Peavey amp but I still was louder than the guys with bigger amps. What a life! Peace
Saw him at Cal U.....killed it!
Awesome
Opened for MSB in Ashtabula, Ohio at the old Sheas Theatre in 1980. Hard to believe two great bands in our little town together for one night. Northeast Ohio knew how to rock.
The organ player with the zebra shirt is really getting into it. Very cool !!!
I liked the tune, especially towards the end of it.
Greatest 1-hit wonder song ever.
God Mars looked sooo skinny. Too much toot?
Always cracks me up when guitar guys have the fan blowing their hair back like Jerry Riggs in this vid...😂
Donnie shredding ...
I saw him on this tour and yes he wore that yellow suit , still an entertaining show .
When I was a hired sessionist and was asked for a guitar sound as a reference, I would simply say, "Leah."
Awesome video!
Such a great live band.
What an entrance!
Donnie Iris looks like a young Eugene Levy.
Any musician that reminds me of Weird Al Yankovic is A-okay in my book!
I saw Donnie at Washington Jefferson College a few times, I still LOVE him!
Wow some of the best Mars Cowling video material I've seen. Thanks!
Awesome real live music!!!
This is one that gets the blast 💥 of the dial to about 300. Notice the keyboard player sings this entire song with Donny. I wonder if it’s those 2 voices together that makes this exceptional. Thanks for sharing it
met pat and the band after a gig in the video drome in glasgow what a guy
when music was music no internet just live music when bands proved themselfs and had to work hard to get what they wanted not like the bands in a bedroom
How cool it must have been to be at this show. Fk%n phenomenal.
This was done with 12 track beautiful
Donnie signed my saddlebag lid . Thank s donnieeat roberts roadside. Bridgewater pa
Nico on drums. WOW
Appropriately, the awful video quality lends itself to the reality that "This came from a different era in music" and we can not return, we can only rejoice that it happened at all
Pat is a living guitar legend! he should be filling arenas!! Still making new music to this day!! Hope I get to see you play again Pat!
Best band in history. Bar none.
Live version awesome!!🤩 👏 😎
I was there. Pretty good time, miss those days.
Yeah but it's ok
I don't give a shit about what you say about Donnie Im🎉 metal and I love the Dude
Yeah fuck me runnin
Gold!🙏
I’m from Pittsburgh…Donnie Virus…one hit wonder 🍻
Had the pleasure of hanging with Pat o numerous occasions. Wonderful man!!
People forget about this great song when they talk about Pat Travers but I remember when this came out . A Great song !
I see some comments on Donnie's yellow suit. Donnie was in The Jaggerz ("The Rapper"). The Jaggerz often wore canary yellow suits; they were one of the best cover r&b bands ever. The Rapper was a commercial success, but they broke up shortly after its release. Donnie also sung in Wild Cherry.
Love it !
A super star that refused to sell out to the music industry. 👍
Let,s see Johnny Winter & Pat Travers a little slide guitar duo , did it ever happen?
Now there's performance,!
One of the best musical line ups of all time--I wish this version of PT band had stayed together...Pat's Florida influenced music--more chill more keyboards
Incredible performance !! Donnie you really put your heart into it!! Great band!!!!!!!!!!
Theyre lipsyncing
No they're not. They're not like the mostly talentless musicians of the last decade or so that need auto tune and other things to enhance their "music". They were playing and singing this live.
Best tunes came out in the late 60's...70's......what a party we all had...after that music went downhill. Look at the crap out there now.
When i hear pat travers band it immediately makes me think of going to a beer party
