@@gunmayhem1106 hey! Glad you started playing! It’s THE BEST!!! I’ll do a whole map video at some point in the future, might be a while because of all the new Unmatched content coming out soon. Map knowledge starts first with zones and center stage. No hard zone cutoffs, (Sherwood) are good for ranged. You don’t need to be adjacent to attack. Hard zone cutoffs, (The Bronze) are good for melee. You can force adjacency easier. That’s the start of it. Center stage is the space on the map that can get to every other space from x spaces away. Sanctum has a center stage of 3. Hanging Gardens has a center stage of 4. The higher the number, the bigger movement and boost values you’ll need to have a chance. Or the more fighters you’ll need to cover the ground. Especially if you’re melee.

We started there and modified and tweaked until we got to where we are. Still playing and testing to see how it goes. Almost fully ready!

I was thinking about rating a post on reddit with the idea more fully fleshed, but I believe that you guys can do a better job because yall can test way better than me for sure. The only recommendations that I would have is to actually make 7 points for best of 3 (2 characters), 10 points for best of 5 (3 characters), and so on (3 points per character in the roster +1 essencially). The division of tier 1 throught 6 also seems the essencial to me, so you can use the mega top tiers, but have to severely compromise your roster because of that. I believe this format can only get better with more characters without sacrificing match up diversity, probably increasing actually!

Only thing with age is: “Any player under the age of 16 should be supervised by a parent/guardian while playing. This is not a requirement, although we do recommend it just to be safe. If supervising, please do not distract or influence the gameplay.”

@@svinnibg yes! Here are the rules: Match Format (Banquest) Pick/Ban Phase: Randomly determine who will choose their role as either leader or follower. Players will take turns banning fighters one at a time until they have each banned 3 fighters. These fighters will not be allowed to be chosen by either player. Players will then take turns picking fighters to add to their roster until they each have 4, starting with the leader (L) and then the follower (F) in this order: L-F-F-L-L-F-F-L Any of the published Unmatched fighters at the time of tournament start will be legal. (Except Deadpool) You may not choose a fighter that your opponent has already added to their roster. Both players will secretly select a fighter to ban from the opponent’s roster and reveal them simultaneously. Players will then secretly select a fighter to ban from their own roster and reveal them simultaneously. This will leave both players with a roster of 2 fighters. You cannot replay a fighter you have won with previously in the match. Fighters/Advantages: Players will secretly choose a fighter to be played for game 1 and reveal simultaneously. Follower will get map advantage and leader gets position advantage for game 1. Each game, the player without map advantage will ban 3 maps from all of the published maps. Their opponent cannot choose those 3 maps for that specific game. After game 1, the loser of the previous game will get their choice of either map or position advantage for the next game.
