During a Good Friday service at CCD, I had an experience of feeling something warm being poured over my head. I knew it was the Holy Spirit, but did not realize until later that I was experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit and His anointing on my life. I would need it to teach 3rd grade Sunday school for a decade. And when Pastor Jeff encouraged all of us to ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I did, and the Lord blessed me by showing me future events in my dreams. I use it as a witnessing tool to convince people that God is real and is still moving today. Ask the Lord for the gift of the baptism of his Holy Spirit, be obedient to his word, and he will show you marvelous things, which you will not be able to keep to yourself. RC

Rest in Peace. I am truly thankful I stumbled across Sound Doctrine on the radio one evening as a “borderline” Christian. The way he spoke and joyfully taught really breached my callus heart and hooked me into his sermons. Which then led to me becoming born again. This was in 2017, I have fallen short the past few years but recently have become revitalized once again. I came straight to Sound Doctrine for content to study once again. I had no idea this occurred and it breaks my heart that I was not active during his passing. I apologize to my brothers and sisters, I will use this as motivation to follow through with his teachings and strengthen myself in Jesus Christ. Thank you, Pastor Jeff Johnson. You will be dearly missed and I look forward to meeting you and giving my gratitude in spirit.

What a powerful message ! Praise God !

So I met this new friend a year ago. Flash forward to today I was introduced to this zoom Bible study. Everyone seemed really awesome and the teachings were pretty mind blowing and I thought they were really good. I started seeing small red flags. The instructor was pretty strict with having our cameras on and we were allowed to record the zoom classes. I let it go and then they wanted us to dress our best for each zoom class. Then they would tell us not to tell people what we are learning because we weren't ready to share or they might think it was a cult. Next thing they started teaching that Adam was not the first man created and that Genesis was a parable/allegory. All of the teachings started to mess with my foundation in Christ and my mind a lot. I would honestly start to feel a little hopeless like everything I was taught growing up was a lie or wrong. The last straw for me was that the instructors wouldn't tell me what church they were associated with. I gave it a lot of prayer and I recently left the study. It really confused me n I'm hoping someone reads this comment at Calvary that can give me some guidance. Calvary Chapel doweny was my home church since I was a kid. I strayed off n on but the last few years I have really wanted to get back into my faith and come back home. Hopefully someone sees this GOD bless! 🙏🏻
