Debug Error, Run-Time Error '9' Subscript out of range. Something wrong with "If Not Intersect(Target, Me.ListObjects("ProjectTable").ListColumns(3).DataBodyRange.Resize(, 2)) Is Nothing Then" It worked when I downloaded your file, but not on my own spreadsheet.
Unfortunately, it's a little difficult to help with problems on here because I cannot see your code or what is happening.
Great idea - thanks for sharing - I have slight problem in that when I select a cell that already has a date in it, I get a message that pops up in the calendar - "Overwrite Contents" - OK or Cancel" . I there a way to suppress this message?
You can try using a little bit of VBA 1. Open the VBA Editor: - Press `Alt + F11` to open the VBA editor. 2. Insert a New Module: - In the VBA editor, go to `Insert` > `Module` to create a new module. 3. Add VBA Code: - In the new module, add the following code: Sub CalendarClick() Application.DisplayAlerts = False ' Your code to handle the calendar click and update the cell goes here ' For example, you might be setting a date in the selected cell: ActiveCell.Value = Date Application.DisplayAlerts = True End Sub This VBA code turns off alerts before setting the cell value and turns them back on afterward. You will need to adapt the middle part of the code to match what your calendar add-in does when a date is selected. 4. Assign the Macro to the Calendar Add-in: - If you are using a custom calendar add-in, you will need to find the event or button click that triggers the date selection and call this `CalendarClick` macro instead of directly setting the cell value. 5. Save and Close the VBA Editor: - Save your VBA project and close the VBA editor. 6. Test the Macro: - Go back to your Excel worksheet, trigger the calendar add-in, and select a date. The "Overwrite Contents" message should no longer appear. If the calendar add-in is a third-party tool, you might need to check its documentation or settings to see if there’s an option to integrate or call custom macros upon date selection. If this option is not available, you might need to handle the date selection process entirely through VBA as demonstrated. Remember to save your Excel file as a macro-enabled workbook (`.xlsm`) to ensure the VBA code is retained.
THANKS A LOT
You're welcome!
Kyle, good video. I hope you don't mind if I add some additional commentary to help those trying to incorporate using the mini-calendar popup with your VBA code for an existing spreadsheet that has not been converted to a table. The code in its native format will not work unless you convert your spreadsheet (if not already a table) to a table. To do this, select the entire spreadsheet including the headers. Navigate to the "Insert" menu and select "Table". The table menu will appear. Over to the top left you should see a cell where you can name the table. Give the table a name and make sure you remember it. Now go back an open up the VBA window for the worksheet where they previously pasted your VBA code. They will need to replace the code where you referenced the following table ("ProjectTable") with the name of their table ("xx"). The code should now work. Additionally, if those who don't understand what this line is doing, let me explain: . The number (8) in the code is the eighth column of the subject spreadsheet I used. The (, 4)) is the total number of columns including the first plus 3 to the right I have date fields that I wanted to have the Popup calendar. I hope this will help some who may still be struggling with incorporation of the feature. GOOD VIDEO!!!
Thank you for sharing!
This is the only one i have found that takes the payment from paid off debts and adds it to the next in line bravo my man thank you

Could you share the formula on linking the personal budget course with bills to link with this snowball debt spreadsheet? This stuff was extremely helpful for me.
how can i change the currency to gbp and will it work the same? cheers
Is GBP your default currency on your system? You can select all the cell and change the currency symbol.
But if I drag it down it doesn't work dynamically. How to solve the aforesaid problem kyle?
Can you share your formula?
how do i make the font bigger?
Select the Text: Click inside the text box to place the cursor. Highlight the text you want to change the font size of. Change Font Size: Go to the Home tab on the Ribbon. In the Font group, click the Font Size drop-down menu. Select the desired font size from the list or type a specific font size in the box and press Enter. Alternatively, you can use the Mini Toolbar: After highlighting the text in the text box, a mini toolbar will appear near your selection. Use the font size options on the mini toolbar to adjust the size.
Do you insert the balance that something was at the beginnging or currently. Eg a phone on 0% interest 24 months and you have 7 left. It doesnt seem to calculate the duration left, correctly
Great 😃👍
Thank you

Great video. Is it possible to use this calendar to find date on the sheet?
It's just a regular calendar
My checkbox is locked .. Or it is more like disabled . please help
If the checkbox feature in Excel is not accessible, there could be several reasons behind it. Here are some potential causes and solutions to help you troubleshoot the issue: 1. Worksheet Protection: - If the worksheet is protected, certain features, including inserting checkboxes, may be disabled. - Solution: Go to the Review tab and click Unprotect Sheet. If the sheet is password-protected, you'll need to enter the password to unprotect it. 2. Excel Version: - Some features might not be available in all versions of Excel, particularly if you are using Excel Online or a very basic version. - Solution: Ensure you are using a version of Excel that supports form controls. Full versions like Excel for Microsoft 365, Excel 2019, 2016, 2013, and 2010 support these features. 3. Add-ins or Macros: - Certain add-ins or macros might interfere with the normal functioning of Excel features. - Solution: Try disabling add-ins. Go to File > Options > Add-ins. At the bottom, select Excel Add-ins and click Go. Uncheck any add-ins and see if the checkbox feature becomes accessible. 4. Display Settings: - Sometimes, display settings or zoom level can cause UI elements to become inaccessible. - Solution: Try adjusting the zoom level of your worksheet or changing the display resolution of your monitor. 5. Developer Tab Visibility: - The checkbox feature is located under the Developer tab, which might not be visible by default. - Solution: To enable the Developer tab, go to **File** > **Options** > **Customize Ribbon**. Check the box next to **Developer** in the right-hand column. 6. Corrupted Excel Installation: - Your Excel installation might be corrupted or missing some components. - Solution: Try repairing your Office installation. Go to **Control Panel** > **Programs and Features**, find Microsoft Office in the list, and select **Change**. Choose **Repair** and follow the on-screen instructions. 7. Group Policy or IT Restrictions: - In a corporate environment, IT administrators may restrict certain features via Group Policy. - Solution: Contact your IT department to see if any policies are in place that restrict the use of form controls like checkboxes. 8. Compatibility Mode: - If you are working in a file that is in Compatibility Mode (an older Excel file format like .xls), some features may be disabled. - Solution: Convert the file to the newer .xlsx format by going to **File** > **Save As** and selecting the modern file format. By systematically checking these potential issues, you should be able to identify why the checkbox feature is not accessible in your Excel setup and take the appropriate action to resolve it.

Hello sir, thanks for the informative video, i wanted to ask if is it possible to add a data validation on that calender object through vba, wherein the user won't be able to select a date earlier than today's date?
Yes, it's possible to add data validation to a calendar object in VBA to prevent users from selecting a date earlier than today's date. You can achieve this by using a combination of the `BeforeUpdate` or `AfterUpdate` events of the calendar control and a condition to check the selected date. Here is an example of how you can implement this in VBA: Example with `BeforeUpdate` Event 1. Open your VBA editor (Alt + F11 in Excel). 2. Insert a new UserForm if you don't have one already. 3. Add a Calendar Control to your UserForm. If you don't see the Calendar Control, you may need to enable it from additional controls. 4. **Double-click the Calendar Control** to open its code window. vba Private Sub Calendar1_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer) Dim selectedDate As Date selectedDate = Calendar1.Value If selectedDate < Date Then MsgBox "You cannot select a date earlier than today.", vbExclamation Cancel = True End If End Sub Example with `AfterUpdate` Event 1. Open your VBA editor (Alt + F11 in Excel). 2. Insert a new UserForm if you don't have one already. 3. Add a Calendar Control to your UserForm. If you don't see the Calendar Control, you may need to enable it from additional controls. 4. Double-click the Calendar Control to open its code window. vba Private Sub Calendar1_AfterUpdate() Dim selectedDate As Date selectedDate = Calendar1.Value If selectedDate < Date Then MsgBox "You cannot select a date earlier than today.", vbExclamation ' Optional: Reset to today's date Calendar1.Value = Date End If End Sub Explanation - Calendar1_BeforeUpdate: This event is triggered before the calendar value is updated. The `Cancel` parameter allows you to cancel the update if the condition is met. - Calendar1_AfterUpdate: This event is triggered after the calendar value is updated. Here, you can check the selected date and, if it's earlier than today, you can show a message and reset the calendar value to today's date. Both methods effectively prevent the user from selecting a date earlier than today's date. You can choose the one that best fits your application's flow.
