By combining the code from previous tutorials, you should be able to easily make some solo buttons that react to the VU meter information passed from Reaper. Notice that Reaper still passes VU meter data even if the channel isn't currently sounding...you could add code to make unsoloed buttons darker to make this clearer in your OSC application....
