That’s not how an ENT removes wax. I’m an ENT. We use a microscope, no point in doing the exact same thing a primary care doc would do.

Removal by ear microscope is better option

This helps me out. I have been using Nasacort and spray, but I'm going to consider a flush and some Flonase instead.

I used to have bad wax buildup in my ears and had to go to the doctor to have it removed. Now, about once a week, I use my Waterpik with a low or moderate control setting in my ears. I can blast some serious ear wax out. Been doing that for years. Best to use warm or very warm water. Never have to go to the Doctor again for that.
