They pass over like this at least once a month but it is only within a few days after launch. It is becoming harder and harder to see them like this though as they are trying to make them less reflective which is great for Astro photographers.

We do have an English name for it, One New Zealand Stadium. I understand your point but at the same time, I like how we use Māori in our language, I like having places with Māori names (not everything but a mixture of Māori and English). It shows our cultural identity and heritage, shows our uniqueness and shows we are a country/people of inclusivity and can live together with respect and understanding for each other.

Most of us that went through the earthquakes can relate to the name.

I have heard there is a new Full Licence route out at Northwood but I haven't seen anything. Will try and get some infor but when I am not sure. Best thing to do is follow the other routes and drive around the area and make sure you do what you should be doing and keep to the speed limits or conditions (don't speed), check your mirrors and blind spots, stop at stop signs, and practice talking out loud what hazards you see at various points so it wont be so strange for you when you do the test.

I think we need it, maybe not where it is being built for the amount time it will be used for but we need it. Just like the Cathedral they took so long to get it sorted that the price now is way too much so in that respect it is a waste of $200-$300 million.

As a rates payer, I don't mind paying the extra to fund it. It will bring a lot of energy to the central city. Personally I couldn't care less about rugby or other sports events but it's the concerts I'm looking forward to most. It will attract a lot of big acts that'll now choose to come to Christchurch instead of Dunedin or Wellington.

Yeah good news here and bad news there but I am sure they will find a way to fix it all.

@@yeahnahproductionsgiven they will need to continue spending money on it (according to RNZ it will cost 5 million more to mothball it and an extra million a year for as long as its mothballed) they will probably try find the funding to fully repair it, otherwise it will become more expensive to maintain it in a mothballed state than to repair it, the longer they wait, the more money it will cost when they finally get on with it unless we somehow have deflation occur.

Maybe they'll wait for Labour to get back in and see what they will give them but I can't see it staying like it is for very long because the CCC will give them the hurry along.

Yeah this was take awhile ago and roads made them change a few of the streets used but hopefully you did well.

Why are they dumb? We all get into our cars that are way more dangerous than swimming in this river but yet we still do it. If there was a real threat every time someone got into it then I am sure they would close it off but there is only a small sign which indicates that the threat isn't that high if you follow the guidelines.

If there is no speed limit sign at the entrance to the street or along the street then it is the same speed limit as the main street, Stanmore Road which is 50kms but as Vogel Street is a narrower street then it might also be best to drive at a lower speed limit or drive to the conditions. This is the case in almost every street in NZ. Driving slower than the posted speed limit doesn't mean you will be penalised in the test only if it feels right for the conditions but if it doesn't feel right then 10kms or more slower than the posted speed limit and a car following you will give you a CE.
