The pale blue painted porch ceilings is done solely because of silly superstitions. Jonesborough is a lovely little town.
My home town. I lived on Poplar street. Bluefield has really changed. and Thank you for sharing Bluefield with others.
Glad you enjoyed it
That new Coalfields Expressway is a great improvement over the old way.
I live in NC but have been all over that area for the last 25 years. Itmann is pronounced It Mann. Not eyetmann. 👍😂
Say a big PRAYER so Jesus can hear you and knows you believe in him! GOD bless love your video.
Once worked in the Bluefield WV post office
Nice road trip to bad it was raining and foggy nice big campground drive safe and God bless you all
Thanks 👍
Your videos are the best. You do such a great job and so informative. We love history so these videos have helped us to plan an upcoming trip to east Tennessee.❤
Thank you so much!
My husband & I are recovering from Covid and uTube suggested this channel. I was listening to your video while lying down with my eyes closed and immediately thought: that sounds like Mike Friday! I opened my eyes, saw a snippet of the travado and I thought: that looks like Mike and Karen’s van! Then it showed a snippet of you, and as bad as I feel, it made me chuckle. Couldn’t believe it-didn’t know about this channel. We of course subscribed😊. Another great channel and a pick me up for the day!
Wonderful! Praying your recovery is going well.
I used to live in West Virginia for 8 months beautiful roads well maintained
Not been much work here since Reagan shut everything down in 1980 lot of the people left cause when you are born here in the mts it's coal mines moonshine or move on down the line
Alot of my family live in Beckly. My couisin has a home remodeling buisness there.

Poor State ! I feel sorry for the citizens that can't afford to leave
The town of Itmann, WV is not pronounced the way you said. My dad worked for the mines there 34 years and it is pronounced “it man” after I. T. Mann.
I gave it an ole country boy try...haha. Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed this video ❤
Glad you enjoyed
When i travel i like to go back country roads beautiful scenery love the video safe travels and God bless you
Thanks so much. God bless!
My family is from Tyler county. Our cousin Cecil Underwood was the governor and one of the first politicians to use TV in an artfull manner and I have a clip where he proposes that abandoned coal mines should be museums for tourists. Well, there ya go 😅 Can't wait to move back and see Ohio and West by God Virginia and New York. Videos like yours are so helpful.
Thanks so much for sharing!
We were doing ok until 1980 then Reagan happened he ruined it all other states too
The population is dropping yearly , nothing there anymore.
Thanks for sharing!
Yeah they are putting a new road in after everybody left
Nothing like that when I was young.
When I was a kid we went to WV every summer. Had cousins and great aunts/uncles there. We’d stop in Moorefield to get groceries and then go go up 40 miles to the family farm. Cook stove in the kitchen, really back in the day. We’d go to Bluefield but don’t remember why, maybe it was for a auction. It was a beautiful time, beautiful country. My parents are gone now so can’t ask them. Thank you for the video.
That is awesome!
stay safe god bless
very good job
Thank you so much 😀
Good Morning ; welcome to almost heaven!!! if you are going north, take a drive around weston, elkins and parsons, very nice country roads and small towns along the way.

Thank you! I'll be back up that way and check it out next time.
We are looking for the cheapest farmhouse in the East Tennessee please thank you
Very nice walk and talk video on downtown Jonesborough, TN, Mike! Very well done! Also, I thank you so much for respecting and paying homage to the former residents of Jonesborough who are at rest in that historic cemetery. I wish more people would take the time to visit cemeteries/graveyards to help ensure that those folks who are buried there are not forgotten, after all, they all are an important part of our history. GOD bless!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We’re going to visit there next spring…
Santa Fe is the oldest town in the U.S.A. Older than Jonesboro. Much more history also.
Too bad Santa Fe is in NM. NM has gone to the dogs. I lived there for 30 yrs and would never go back thanks to the democrat governance.
Well done
I hope to see many more videos on the towns of East Tennessee from you!
Thanks for the support!
It was interesting 😊
Thanks for watching
