This is a beautiful, brilliant piece of art! Love it & will def be trying to duplicate…. Thank you for sharing this how-to video!
I love them Jim’s wife Tara thanks Gods so good ugh I have bad left side I’m do everything so hard thanks I can’t believe I’m doing resin eh yeah I just weedwack the lawn with a bad foot really thanks
Wow-these are FABULOUS!!!🤩💜🩵💜🩵 I can't wait to try my hand @ these! Thank you so much for a terrific instructional video-I'll definitely be checking out your other videos! I definitely subscribed to your channel as well! Question-what brand of glitter did you use? I love it, but that was the only item that you didn't provide a link for. Thanks very much though for the other links you provided! I hope you continue to make great resin crafting videos-you're a great instructor! 😁
Thank you for watching! There is no link for the glitters because it was from another small business and they no longer sells glitter. I don’t have any suggested replacements yet since I had stocked up a lot before they closed. You can find lots of pretty unique mixes on Etsy though.
Ok, I'll continue my search-thanks anyway! @@EllafulDeco
Awesome I want to do this awesome thanks Jim’s wife Tara a Gods great
Beautiful ❤
They are beautiful ❤
Thank you for the info! I’m just curious, this resin you said is meant for 1 inch pours, but your sphere looks a lot bigger than 1 inch. How was it still okay to pour and avoid flash curing?
Thank you for watching! The sphere is about 2" and I poured about 1.75" for the first layer. It was ok because the volume was small. TotalBoat's website listed this resin's max depth as 1" for smaller castings using less than 16oz of epoxy. I think I poured maybe around 6-7 oz at first so it wasn't too much to cause it to flash cure. The depth may have caused the first layer to cure faster though.
Plz what is the name of it the white color Were can I buy it
The white is Castin' Craft's opaque white pigment. I get mine off Amazon: amzn.to/3Gdbqf9. Products used in my video are also linked in the description.
Merhaba altina surdugun beyaz seyin adi ne dilinizi bilmiyorum tesekkurler
Awesome love it Gods good I want to try this Jim’s wife Tara 😅
new to resin are you using the acrylic paint instead of the mica pigment?
I am using a mix of acrylic paint and mica powder to get the colors that I want. The products are linked in the description.
J'adore, très jolies pièces !
Total gram of resin for this tray only?
I’m not sure, but I made this mold and I don’t sell it. Other similar molds will need different amounts of resin.
Nice studio.
Lovely.
Very nice and beautiful coasters.❤ But my question is how many hours all together do u need to make this.
Thanks! They take about 1.5-2 weeks from start to finish. My resin (TotalBoat) takes 7 days to full cure. If you use a different resin, they should come with its own instructions.
Suppose to put part A always first
As long as you measure the correct amount of both parts, it doesn’t matter.
I like superclear
Can you use any pva glue for the back has i only have the clear one. They are beautiful i really want to try this, i love the colours
I haven’t tried the clear glue, but I would assume it’d work just fine. Give it a try!
Stunning❤
Nice work! I am just starting to look into resin casting and I found your video to be very useful and informative. Thank you ^_^
Wow thank you will make some
Very helpful and informative. Thank you for making this!
Beautiful dear❤
Very Beautiful 😍❤️❤️
Thank you! 😊
Very beautiful.
Thank you!
Fantastic! And great trick using the glue.
Thank you! The glue certainly saves a lot of time and extra work.
Beautiful!!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this ❤️
Thank you for watching!
Do you ever have issues with the resin getting bubbly? X
Resin produces bubbles in the process of mixing the two parts so when you're mixing resin, mix slowly. Pouring the resin a thicker layer than it's supposed to will also result in the bubbles getting trapped in your pieces once it's cured. I use a heat gun to help with surface bubbles. If I'm using a deep pour resin, I will use a vacuum chamber to help remove majority of the bubbles in the mixture.
@@EllafulDeco thankyou! X
Love this. Thank you for showing when things don’t go perfectly. It’s very helpful!
,,,, sei molto brava mi sono iscritta al tuo canale❤
Is there a way to deal with the bubbles. Every time I try to add a sheet to the resin it creates bubbles.
I haven’t really experimented much with it reduce bubbles. I just add a top coat to fill in the bubbles, but top coating is also what I do with all my trays for the extra shine. You can try to apply resin to the film first before placing it into the mold. I dip flowers in resin to help reduce bubbles, so that may work for the film.
Your work is beautiful and very well done. I am looking to use whole rose blooms and need something easier due to trouble with my hands. I notice you are diligent with proper tools. How do you safely clean and dispose of trace resin from your projects? I have worked it on how to be safe mixing and making but not sure how to dispose of/clean mixing containers etc. Do you have a video on that aspect? Many thanks.
Thank you! I let the resin harden, then peel them off the containers. I keep the cured resin to reuse in future pieces to save on material as well. I don’t have a video covering that specially, but this is something I make with my the cured resin from cups and stuff - czcams.com/video/9D65wuE6RRg/video.html.
Really beautiful.
I heard silica gel solidifies once it comes in contact with air and then its useless....can you pl elaborate and tell what to do?
From my experience, it does not. It is exposed to air as I am covering the flowers. It will absorb the moisture from the air if you leave it out, but you can always recharge it to use again. The silica gel that I use is linked in the description if you want to try that out. If your silica gel solidifies when it comes in contact with air, you should contact the manufacturer of the product for further instructions or ask the source of the information to assist you.
@@EllafulDeco thankyou so much..i will try.how to recharge silica gel though?
Hi, my flowers colour got changed when crying in silica gel. they were pink roses.. and now turned almost pale yellow. Any tips to not do the same thing again, as I need the original colour retained?
Hello! It could be that the silica gel needs to be recharged. If not, then that may just be how that flower dries. Not all flowers dry the same, for example tropical flowers tend to dry brown for me. I will have to color enhance it to get the original color back.
@@EllafulDeco Thank you,I'll try changing silica gel. But how do you color back it to look a bit like original?
I just discovered this video and I want to do it too!!! You explain so well every step its perfect! Plus your voice is so smooth and zen to listen too lol
Thank you for watching! I’m happy to hear you found this video helpful 😊
how big in size is the yellow one
It’s 3”x3”
Lovely fantasy beach
Thank you 🙂
So after sanding you can add more resin and it disappears?
Yes, the resin will fill in the scratches from the sanding.
@@EllafulDeco thank you
❤❤❤
You mentioned it was transfer foil, so wouldn’t you just rub it to get the color transferred?
This foil uses heat to transfer. Deco foil has a transfer gel that would allow the foil to transfer to the surface with the gel. I don’t know if just rubbing the foil onto the surface would work due to the process for this specific heat transfer foil that I have. Maybe there are foils that can just be rubbed on, but I’m not sure.
@@EllafulDeco thank you for explaining, I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve been trying to learn the different foils. You create phenomenal art!
Thank you 😊 this is the foil that many use to create clear inserts for resin art. I don’t have a tutorial on that yet, but there are definitely some out there if you are interested in that.
I followed a similar guide but my resin receded from the edges and almost repelled against the window film! Do you know what may have caused this? My surface was level 😅
I resined the sides of the board as well to make sure the film is completely sealed in the piece. Otherwise, even if the resin stuck to the film, it can still be peeled off. The window film is also smooth so there’s nothing for the resin to grip onto. Kind of like if we were top coating the sides of a piece, if we don’t sand it, the resin just slides right off. Hope this makes sense.
Do you just dry the flowers or should you preserve them in the flower preservation silica??
I’m not sure I completely understand your question. The flowers are dried in silica gel and then preserved in resin.
Can I dry Daffodils and which way?
You can dry daffodils. If you want to keep the 3D form and color, silica gel is the way to go. You can also press them with a flower press.
Great instructive video! Thank you!
Thank you for watching!
Hi Ella ❤️
I always find my flowers discolour! Did yours stay brightly coloured ??
Do you mean discolor when you take it out of the silica gel or after some time? Most flowers just dry a darker shade. Some tropical flowers seems to dry different colors and require color enhancing.
Hi there. When I do.roses upside down I will always get a bubble come up when I demold. Even if I prep tje flower. Is tjere anyway to avoid this?😊
Using a resin with a longer work time will give more time for the bubbles to rise to the surface. The one I use for my 3” spheres (TotalBoat Thickset Fathom resin, a deep pour resin) has a work time of like 12 hours. You can also resin your rose first, let it completely cure, and then put it in your mold.
