Hey. Do you know the final cost of the materials? I'm going to do a similar build
@@kenkenny4238 all in the comments below.
I’m sure you’ve mentioned it but I cannot find it. What are the exact measurements? This is the perfect size! Beautifully done
@@Plantsandplanets 5mx3m
Youve laid all your bricks upsidedown! That being said your greenhouse came out fantastic and inspiring!
😂 I don't think I did lay my bricks upside down,it's always frog up in the UK. Not sure where you come. Maybe your from Australia where things look upside down being on the opposite side of the world 😂.
you talk too much
Wonderful work! How is the wooden frame attached to the brick wall below? And what material is the top made out of? Also what type of wood did you use? Sorry for the many questions 😂
@daytodaylivin4418 thx for the comment, The wooden frame just beds down on a layer of cement. This ensures levels are correct. You could use wall brackets, but I never did. The wood is simply pine and treated pine, the roof is jointed and bird mouthed to prevent movement or spreading when weight is applied like glass. It is pretty much in it's forth year and still looking good.
I'm considering buying the bbq, does it have wifi control?
@Biggiebohbie yes it does, it connects to the app so you can control the bbq from inside your home
Go on lad
Stunning!
Excellent job.
Beautiful work. Can you please tell me where you sourced the automatic roof windows. Thank you.

Love the greenhouse, surprised you didn't setup any guttering to catch rain water though.
I have now funnily enough in the galvanised long troughs
@@ironian24 cool, I've not made it through the other vids yet 😛
Very nice job!!!!! I love it!!!!!!
Beautiful
Hermoso...fantastic...!!
Hi, I absolutely love this build it’s fantastically well made! Just wondering which wood you use? It looks like a softwood of some sort perhaps Douglas fir? I’d like to build a similar project but I understand the wood should be suitably durable for exterior use so either hardwood, treated or Douglas fir/larch/cedar etc. I want to keep costs reasonable but I understand that if I used kiln dried treated timber it wouldn’t be ready to paint until it has dried out in a few months and I don’t fancy painting it when it’s built. So I’m just wondering which wood you use and whether it’s kiln dried, treated etc. What’s the best wood which you would recommend?
Love the color and the aesthetic. Well done.
That looks awesome!!! Nice work!
Hi Greetings from Ireland! What a beautiful job you did! A true craftsman! Did you work to a set of plans? And where did you acquire them ? It looks absolutely amazing! Well done!
Thank you very much, I did my own plans for this.
A thing of beauty. Cheers!
Thank you.
More like a comsevatory thana green house
Definetly a greenhouse, I make both and there is a huge difference between conservatory and greenhouse. I wouldn't want to live in a greenhouse.
C'est magnifique, bravo!!!
Why my canon eos rp firm is 1.6.1
Thus is a very old video now, and the firmware was for the R not the rp
This is so good !
Thank you.
Great job! Where did you source the windows from? Did you work from an existing plan? If so, please can you share it? I want to build a greenhouse but don't want to spend £4,000+ on one of the prefab aluminum ones.
Thank you for your comment , I made the whole thing including windows and doors. I planned the whole job as well, no plans needed just good old fashioned carpentry / joinery skills and plans I drew out as I went.
@@ironian24 Thanks! Does that include the glass? Would you be willing to sell the plans?
I measured the glass and put it in myself, I could make some plans, but this is definetly not a DIY project, you would need a machine shop for starters.
I do photography. I’ve got a five day and a 70 Canon and I’ll send those dots in my pictures as well and I also thought the same as you did but I didn’t realise it was that bad.
Do you know what pitch and diameter prop you were using?
It was all standard, I never messed with the prop the engine came with, I honestly don't know.
Stunning 👍
Thank you.
What type of wood did you use for the framing ? I'm pricing up building mine and western red cedar is about £50 for 2.5m ! (Im in the UK) Advice appreciated
Cedar is good if you can find the sizes. I built mine in a mix of treated pine and par pine.
I was warned by a timber merchant (not a greenhouse expert) that one would twist and likely crack the glass. Have you found this isn't the case ? Would be a hell of a saving from buying red cedar. Also are you in the UK ?
I used red wood, or pine, as long as its well painted it will be fine, I used treated pine for all the cills and ridge, I've had no issues with glass cracking at all. Even In strong winds, the construction method I used has proven to be perfect, it has not moved all joints are good, I hope that answers your questions, I am in the UK, Norfolk to be precise.
Thank you @@ironian24
Your very welcome, please let me know how you get on, I am always interested in seeing other people's projects.

Wow that looks really cool! ❤
Thank you.
Love the glasshouse. Can you share the blueprint or would we need to purchase it?
Could I ask you how much the glass for this project cost?
Amazing! Not sure those are bell peppers right enough but hope whatever grew was lovely!
Love this video and the designs! Two questions if you have a chance... 1. What brand of laminate did you use? and 2. Have you ever had any issues with warping when you only laminate one side of a panel? Thank you!
Thank you and good questions, as it was 18mm birch ply being ply it was not an issue to add formica to one side only, no warping acured.
@@ironian24thanks so much for the reply…. that’s reassuring. Do you have a link for where Formica like this can be purchased? Most that I’ve seen doesn’t have a protective film and I like that yours does.
@@LittleBabyDinosaur Google suppliers for formica, there are plenty.
Cool, do these things need planning permission? Cant make out if its more than 3 metres or not.
it depends on garden, where you are, how far in from borders you are, different areas have dfferent rules, you will need to check with your local Council planning.
Very nice. Thank you. Did you work off plans that you could link?
How much did this roughly cost
8k in materials and my time.
Hey, why is 20cm-30cm deep foundation enough? Will there be problems? Because in Germany everybody is telling about 80cm because of ground frost. Thanks
No issues yet, the ground is good solid material, foundations are all dependent on the ground you have, example sandy soil is a different depth to soil, as is clay.
HOw thick was hte roof panels?
if you mean the glass, as previously said 4mm
Your yard and outside bar setup is awesome man. I would love to do something similar in my backyard
Hi I have mk8 2016, I will try to convert my van. But not I wont use sun energy, çok nly big power bank cabinet.
Powerbank can work, but you'll need a big one to power everything the way we do, and a big one will cost more than my 200amp hour lithium ion battery and all it's wiring and split charger put together.
WOW.. love to see the greenhouse and I would like to see what you’re growing too 😮😊
I've got other videos on my channel showing what I grow in the greenhouse.
Where are you based? need this doing to mine
Hi there, we are based in Norwich Norfolk if that helps?

Looks lovely mate 👍👍
thx buddy, it was stuuning up there.
Was the lock on the gate? I didn't notice.
No point in having a lock other than to stop vehicles going down there,
Amazing! would you share the location to find it on Google Maps?
Literally just follow my instructions it's so easy to find.
It's brilliant there, you wouldn't know you were in a busy area. First time we had deer wandering past and birds of prey swooping down the sides.
yes it is lovely, as you could see, it is getting harder to get through for this composition .
Awesome vlog amazing beautiful images
Thank you.
