Ten tips for a Letter of Recommendation
I am often asked to provide letters of recommendation by medical students aspiring for different positions often on foreign shores. I notice that students struggle in writing these letters and look for previously written letters. Often students will find a previously written letter and change the names - a poor strategy indeed! A good LOR should be customized to the candidate and to the position in question.

    The cause specific competing risk model can be implemented pretty much similar to cox proportional hazard model, except that the baseline hazard rate function is due to cause k, so it’s cause specific. While implementing, we just treat all other causes as censoring except for the one we are interested at

  • @xiaoyuzhu8652
    @xiaoyuzhu8652 Před rokem

    The key difference between competing risk and censored is that for censored case, the subject can renter the study and experience the event, while for competing risk, the subject won’t be able to experience the event, so it’s competing risk

      Introduction answers the question why you need to do this work. The studies cited are directed to that end. In the discussion you compare with similar work done before. The two are not mutually exclusive but can be different. You can add new studies in the discussion

    Organisational ergonomics have always been abysmal in government institutions. 43:00 Atleast now more people are conscious of all the times we wastefully congregated. Unfortunately the infrastructure is not capable of facilitating a meeting with social distancing. 51:00 Thats how it should have been all along. Idk why pens have never been provided to us in the departments. A few things i wish remain with us for long. 1)sanitisation 2)hand hygiene 3)mask etiquette 4)availability & acceptability of PPE in OPDs and Wards 5)plans. The mental discipline becomes a habit. 6)a more sophisticated delegation of patient management. 7)avoidance of frivolous testing and trusting clinical acumen. 8)No social lunches. No snacking in hospitals. 9)OPD patterns. Telemedicine. Proper referral, and management of patients at PHCs. 10)Contact tracing. We should be tracking ALL outbreaks. From diarrhea to gonorrhoea.
