Some added extras - T20
zhlédnutí 137Před 4 měsíci
During production many small companies developed optional extras for the T20. Some of those extras are now available again and do make a huge difference to the useability of the tractor. I’ve added just a few but they do make life easier.

Please PLEASE tell me where did you guy your Ferguson Lift Lock. Thank you 😊
@@LordIronFoot The original fabricator no longer does them but I think the Fergie Trailer Shop did a while back. It might be worth getting in touch with them to see if we will make you one. www.fergietrailershop.co.uk

You shouldn’t let the cut wood pile up under the saw, if one of those pieces catch in the saw it will throw it in an unpredictable direction and often with a great force
I had a trailer just out of shot and regularly cleared the cut logs. I experienced the saw's log throwing skills long ago and it can be spectacular!
The good old fashioned hard days.
When you only have to do it for a couple of hours, the job is an absolute pleasure.
I used half throttle and second gear but reverse is a bit quick on the turns, so I now use third gear on my Howard reduction box which keeps the forward speed the same but a much slower reverse.
Which gear do you use when mowing ?
Sorry for not having replied before. I have a Howard reduction gearbox so I cut in low ratio 4th gear, also giving a slower reverse on the corners. In high ratio I would cut in 2nd gear.
My uncle mowed in 3rs with a Ted and the earlier mower in fairly heavy crop,I found it to high and fast
Yep. If you have look on the web at Ferguson trailers, you will find they make these too. Total cost about £100. If you can’t find a link let me know and I’ll try and hunt out the details
hi there great video, do you know who manufactured the bracket to keep the lift arms up or would know where to get one? many thanks james
This was a friend's tractor, I have one also, we bought the brackets from someone we found on the web, can't find him now sadly.
Hello Peter, When turning the hay what angle do you set the Acrobat? It must be different to when you rake ready for baling surely?
Jerry - it is not really the angle which is critical, the thing to get right is the way the frames are set. You have the options of just turning, or rowing into two rows or rowing into one row. When I restored my acrobat I bought some reproduction stickers to go on the main frame which shows how the thing should be set up. I would recommend you get a set because trying to remember which way round it should go is hopeless.
Good idea! Always read the instructions...... Thanks for your help Just need to get the stickers.....
For years I kept a drawing of the settings, but now there is Google so no excuse!
