Hey man, just some friendly advice. I worked at Turbonetics for 8 years What you found on the exhaust side of your turbo after you took it apart was a combination of burnt oil and metal shavings from the rear piston ring seal on the turbine wheel shaft. The burnt oil happens for a few reasons, but typically it's from high oil temps from the engine and/or too thin of oil or low on oil pressure. If you don't already have an oil cooler installed, I would advise to get one. The best solution is to get an oil and water cooled turbo. The coolant does a much better job than just oil. I would say 90% of the failed turbos we got returned to Turbonetics was because of turbos that were oil cooled/lubed only. We didn't see many failures at all on the oil/water jacketed turbos. Also, yes, the balancing is very important to make a turbo survive. When it is imbalanced, it is like having an unbalanced tire on the highway, it will vibrate and it will cause the bearings to come in contact with the turbine wheel shaft, causing them to wear out and you'll have shaft play and eventually lead to the wheel(s) rubbing on the housing(s). Next time when you take a turbo apart, mark the nut location with a line and mark the compressor wheel nut area and turbine wheel shaft all with the same line from a sharpie. That way, when you put it back together, lining up everything to the line will give the turbo a much better chance of surviving. Sorry if this is TLDR. Good luck!

Hey man does this work well? I've looked at the bimmer world kit that instead pumps fuel from one side to the other and then to the fuel rail Have heard a few bad reviews on the T style set up how has yours been?
