We did a lead a follow at Sonoma Raceway with our CorteX 2015 GT Mustang just after receiving our GT350R. There was a little bit of moisture on the track from the previous day's rain.     I had the same issue and it was the LCA bushing. FYI Steeda LCA bushing is the best replacement to address the issue. The noise is gone.

    Awesome video. And so worth listening to, I’ve been there done that so many times of starting without a plan and it’s never worked out. But any more I do the exact same thing and start with an excel spreadsheet and a goal in mind.

    What’s actually making the noise? Is it the bolt contacting the inside of the lower control arm? I have this same issue. I replaced so many parts (including the wheel bearings) chasing this ghost. And then paying for wheel alignment each time.

    I know this is an extremely old video, but that huge bump at 1:19 needs to be a reference point to why a watts link on these cars is so necessary, and why everyone that tracks their S197 Mustang should buy one. On a stock S197 during that bump, or even a modified one without a watts link, the axle probably would've shifted a couple inches in either direction and made for an uncomfortable and uninspiring ride feeling, which leads to a lack of confidence when putting the car through it's paces. With this watts link though, the axle stayed completely straight, even after going over such a bump. Probably feels light years better in the car. I definitely need one for my Mustang!

    The bushing is bad on my S550 as well and it causing an annoying rear sway! cant wait to get that fixed!

      It’s a 2015 with 60k. I ended up replacing the whole arm because the shop said they couldn’t find the individual bushings

    you guys upgraded the GT350R with HRE and nitto tires?? dont you mean downgraded lol because the GT350R carbon fiber wheels are a lot lighter than the HRE, and the michellin sport cup 2 tires are better than the nitto's and made specifically for the gt350r.

      Smooth surfaces like tracks the whole irs thing doesn't seem to matter too much. IRS is mostly for unlevel surface grip/comfort.

      The Boss 302 Laguna Seca has the full Cortex Racing suspension, making it much faster than a GT350R.

    I like your YT video about your CorteX Racing company...I currently own a 2003 Ford GT/Cobra Project car and I am looking for someone to doing my complete suspension from front to Rear including installing an IRS. Meanwhile I am a Old School ford Guy from the 60's, I use to hangout with Big Willie and L.A. Street Racer's (R.I.P. my Brother) back in the Day! I used to own a 66 Ford Mustang Coupe, that I fixed up like a 66 Shelby GT350 Coupe back in my High School Day's, a couple of Rotary engine Mazda's (a 02 RX-2 Coupe & a New 77 RX-3 SP) in between, a 2000 Ford Explorer SUV and a 85 Mercury Capri 5.0 RS... I Don't see to many Africa America Men or Women involved in Racing these Days, I was wondering is Leonard Johnson still Racing his 2014 Ford Mustang GT with the Trac-Pac still with you Guys?...Ok that's all for now...God Bless!

      DC Clarkson I have a 2012 track pack and I'm thinking pulling the trigger on BMR watts link this weekend I wanted the cortex but it was a bit pricey. I plan on doing a full suspension over haul since I did a year stock also exhaust and ford racing injectors.

      Maurice Aucoin yeah it's pricey. But I'm definitely doing the Cortex Torque arm to get rid of my UCA. Might as well keep the Watts link cortex also. A friend of mine loves his. Everything else is BMR. And going H&R RSS coil overs. Have a fun build man!! CPR 76mm Turbo kit coming. I'm preparing

      It the Holinger RD6 which costs about $25K plus the shifter is another $3K or so. It's less than the xTrack, but not by much.

    What you are seeing is the brace that triangulates the driver side watts bracket. It is not a panhard bar. Notice in the video that the tube in question does not move and is fixed to the chassis on both sides.

    Darrell's driving has always been great. It took a solid year of refinement to get the car reliable enough to perform at this level. Critical suspension components, brakes, engine, rear end, and aero all had to be replaced so that car could finish races and be competitive. Besides the driver, these changes are ultimately what makes this car a winner.
