Agreed there for sure on both counts. With stables it seems to be a health related thing whilst with jockeys (just like other sports people) it can often be a confidence thing. Either way both can enter into the reckoning during peaks and troughs

Hi Kevin. This approach has a sound basis. I read a Racing Post masterclass article by James Willoughby a few years ago. He gave a sound statistical reasoning for saying that a horse's most recent speed figure is of great importance in predicting the outcome of horse races. You are bound to get plenty of winners using that as a basis and they will keep on coming.

Hi Thomas, I've only just seen your message. Thank you very much indeed for your comments. You're correct that I'm not reaching my potential viewing audience. The truth is that this is still an 'experimental' channel. What I had in mind has changed and evolved and I'm still playing it day by day. I've still to decide if I want this to run for a long duration. I did run a website a couple of years ago and despite giving profitable and insightful information out, I struggled to get the visitors. I tried some SEO optimisations and they had some positive effect but not enough to make a really significant difference. At the present time I'm opting to allow the channel to grow organically. Certainly I'd be happy to talk if I reach the point where I want to push for a significantly wider audience. The small audience suits me right now but that could change as time moves on. Russ

Respect your opinion (on your first comment!). It is easier to dislike the horse based on bare paper form and it's running last time out. I'm looking at price and thinking we're looking at a 40-50% chance he'll produce his Beverley running or better. At over 3/1 a place, it makes sense all things considered. I will admit though that I've got far, far more exciting horses in my tracker and many engaged to run tomorrow. I will sort the wheat from the chaff and look forward to tomorrow come what may today 😉

@@RolleronHigh2448 Respect should go both ways or am I wrong? You can have that one if it makes you feel better. I'm not sure you listened to the video. The horse had the form at the weights to be a contender but he didn't produce it today. He produced his running last time not the time before. That was the chance I was taking as stated in the video due to the big odds on offer (price is everything). If you think backing horses who produced good form last time out is the way to make money then you are kidding yourself. I called out the poor favourite in this race and he was beaten at evens by a horse that finished last on it's previous run. I'm not wasting any more time responding to someone with your poor tone. All I'll say is listen, learn and have respect like most of my subscribers. We won't win on a lot of bets but when we do win, we'll be getting enough value to come out on top. One last thing (before I dispense talking to you), very very few people give out information for free that is original and informative like you'll get from me. This is a rare channel and it won't always be around. Make the most of it.

Yes Global Asset seems to be catching a lot of market interest in the 3.25. I'll admit I've not looked at this race but an immediate observation is that he takes a time to do things and I'd be more inclined to lay him at first glance. A bit the same for Great Acclaim too. Shoot me down in flames if one of them wins but I'd look for something that will pick up quickly over this course and distance. I've been proved wrong a few times lately though 😁👍. Good luck!

Hi Mike, yes this is a challenging medium for a bet for sure and can well understand you stepping away from this! I nearly did myself until digging deeper under the bonnet and deciding that Hard Solution was entitled to go well at the weights. It would be typical Ruth Carr to land a lowly sprint at this venue at this time of year. I won't make a habit of playing in these events for sure. Hi Alex. Thanks for the kind comments. I try to look at racing differently as you may have spotted! Yes I'll endeavour to do that. In truth, the amount of time spent trying to nail a good winner leaves less time to focus on the negative favs. Often I focus on the fav once I have a winning candidate and hope it's weak - just like today. The amount of racing is a problem for a one man band but I'm trying to tune things to speed up the overall processes. For today, the only negative market leaders I could see were the 2 in the 9.00 Chepstow. On less busy days I may be able to find more. I'n keen to find them as I like to lay them! Russ

At least Oisin Murphy knows the horse and has won on it. Hung right handed at Thirsk....at least that would keep it away from the camber today?
